hold me steady - Trisden - Dec 14, 2011 Afternoon, Mostly Cloudy — Current Temperature: 39° F/4° C, well inside GH. Trisden was not a wolf who abided weakness. Even as a child, she had rapidly displayed her predilection for strength and determination, and such were traits she had valued for a long time. Such were traits she still valued! But ever since the day with the snake, things had been different - and whereas such guilt and fear could have been overcome naturally, in time, they had only been compounded and intensified with the appearance of a devil's messenger. Trisden truly believed to her core that there was no other explanation, so targeted and effective the female's words had been. It had made everything terrifyingly clear, and yet Trisden still struggled to wrap her head around it. Just what was the devil planning? Did her actions truly make her forsaken? Was she unforgivable? hold me steady - Hocus - Jan 08, 2012 Sleeping wasn't merely a joy, it was a duty. Hocus knew that through his dreams, he could see more than his simple eyes could ever show him. All of the things he had been thinking about during the day all came together and he awoke with well-formed ideas, rather than rambling nonsense. Not only that, but he could smell things during the dreams, threats and hopes, but what they meant he could not yet say. Regardless, sleeping was a very important part of working out what was what and who was really who. Kade, for example, hadn't shown himself to be vicious in his dreams, he'd seemed quite friendly. In fact, what had troubled him mostly in his dreams had been Theo. Propser had never been in his dreams, not really, but Theo was still there, a little aside, but still present. Whenever someone approached him, he'd scamper away and Hocus woke up, inexplicably cold. Still, sleep, for better or worse, was just another burden he had to bear as the defender of everyone's spirits, most notably his own. It was just after he had woken from his mid-afternoon nap that he heard Trisden calling to him. Still burdened by the weight of all the spirits he had to hold up, otherwise known as cramping joints, Hocus staggered out of the den, thankful for the mild-cloudcover to shade his eyes. He was soon upon Trisden and her 'offering', which he looked at curiously but said nothing, waiting for her to speak the first word. She had the look in her eye that said it was going to be one of those talks, so Hocus settled in for a sad trip. At least she was talking now, right? hold me steady - Trisden - Mar 04, 2012 She tried to keep a steady head and heart as he came to her, obliging, faithful. The brother she needed. Her expression serene, she sat as he approached, an almost business-like manner to her movements. She did not miss how he eyed her dead mouse, though for the moment did not mention it. He could make of it what he wanted; it was his advice she sought, after all. |
