and days go by - Reid - Sep 02, 2017 Having seen the great expanse of water from his previous days climb Reid had found himself traveling towards it. He had actually bypassed it on his way to the Fjord but he simply hadn't been aware of its presence. Now he was aware and curious to see what it held. To be honest he felt like today would be a good day. It was foggy once more and though it was a little cooler today it felt wonderful to him. After the heat of summer, this felt like slipping into a pond of crisp water, and it felt absolutely refreshing. Reid had followed along one of the rivers that had made its way to his current destination and it had made his travel rather easy. Not that he found traveling hard but sometimes one had to exert more effort than he had in arriving at his goal. Reid wasn't disappointed when he did reach his goal either. The lake was spread before him, with fog dancing across its rippling surface. Scattered trees rose here and there marking the locations of what appeared to be small islands. He could also see the mountain that loomed in the distance and the edges of the lake spread out wide before vanishing from sight. Then there was the hawk that was circling above it all. So to Reid the view was quite a sight and so he sat himself down on the sandy beach to enjoy it while the water lapped gently at his paws. @Anastasia |
