The duo finally made it to safety, though not before the storm took root above them and dosed them plenty with rain. However, wet fur will dry in time, but at least the two females had found shelter in case the storm was unrelenting. It could potentially lead Adelayde through dangerous terrain if she had thought to return home instead of seeking shelter nearby by the Monadnock. She was thankful for the smaller female in allowing her to join her, so once the storm truly passed, the Rye beta was sure to thank Cheedo immensely. There was yet another friendly face with the Mondnock pack.

"At least we didn't get that soaked!" The sunflower said with a smile despite the water that dripped off her tawny coat. It could of been much worse.

After running full out across the tundra in hopes of beating the storm they finally made it. The rain beat them however and they ended up with wet coats as they entered the shelter. Cheedo didn't mind having a wet coat if it meant she wasn't caught out in the storm and at its mercy. She'd also managed to help a member of the neighboring pack which she thought Piety and Wraith would he happy about. As she looked over to the woman who now shared the space with her she wondered if she might have made a new friend in her.

“Hopefully it passes quickly, we don't want our packs worrying too much about us.” She said as she let her sea green gaze look out into the downpour as a flash of lightning cracked the sky miles away but still very visible and lit up the interior of their shelter for just a second.

No worries, glad we're getting back to this one.

In the past, the sunflower girl viewed the Whitestone wolves with a grand distaste after her encounter with Craw and his spawn who had ganged up and attacked her out in the tundra within her second month of entering the Lore. It had been a learning experience and Adelayde made sure it would never happen again. However, she was reminded of the incident daily with the scars that marred her muzzle.

Today, though, she viewed the Whitestone wolves with a much greater respect. The tyrants were gone and replaced were respectful leaders who commanded peace. Adelayde could count on having another friend within Whitestone other than @Piety and that she was glad for. Smiling and letting a chuckle grumbled within her throat, she replied with a warm response to Cheedo's comment. "Hopefully they don't come looking for us in this weather!"

They were lucky as the storm didn't last long and the Rye beta said her thanks once again to the kind Whitestone female. Taking her leave from the close proximity of the Monadnock, she returned to her own home safely under cloudy skies.
