Towards Stonewatch - Garmir - Oct 17, 2017 OOC: Garmir's current location on map. Not sure if this is already on WRF borders, but thats part of the fun ^^
------------------------------------- Two days had passed since Garmir had last got decent sleep, taking only few hour naps before picking up again with his quest. He still continued onward trying to reach Anaeia, whom he believed to be further west - this belief nothing but based on his prediction of her most likely route. He had not seen any real sign of her or picked her scent along the way, but if Garmir knew his friend at all, this propably was route she would pick. He had made steady progress in past few days, covering plenty of ground despite not knowing the terrain. Hunger still followed him as he had not eaten anything else than rodents during the past few days and even less before that. He knew he could not keep going without food for long, but still found it hard to pry himself away from his task. Garmir promised himself to dedicate some time for hunt as soon as he had reached more easy terrain, the current ground making any attempts to hunt difficult to say the least. Right now he was following the river, threading along steep northern bank with careful steps. He knew if he did not mind where he was walking he could very well fall down to the river and hurt himself. While he kept his yes closely on the ground, he also tried to find signs Anaeia might have left behind or traces of her or any other wolf. The sound of rushing water made it slightly harder to accurately hear what was around him, but otherwise it was easy to keep eyes on surroundings - if he only would look. The young male was however more focused on staring at the ground ahead of him rather than keeping eyes on his surroundings and thus a stranger could get relatively close before being noticed. Not that he cared. RE: Towards Stonewatch - Griffin - Oct 18, 2017 [dohtml]
[/dohtml] Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Oct 18, 2017 There is a moose carcass that has been scavenged by coyotes nearby. +15 Health RE: Towards Stonewatch - Garmir - Oct 18, 2017 OOC: My tables are not workings so this is kinda blank post ;_; <3 [dohtml] Garmir had been entirely focused on keeping his footing as he followed the steep northern bank, so much so that hearing a voice call out for him startled him briefly. The male halted right away and lifted his gaze from the ground, those poison green eyes looking for source of that call. To his surprise there was a pup, waving his tail as if Garmir was family or friend. He did not respond and certainly did not wave his tail in turn, finding sudden appearance of a young wolf rather troublesome. Someone that small could not live on its own just yet. He had to have family nearby, possibly a pack. Garmir did not care for borders, not in same sense most wolves propably did but he understood some wolves could get rather territorial sometimes and it could mean trouble. His eyes looked further past the youngster, searching for possible adults that may have been with him but he could spot none. Could someone this small venture all alone into place such as this? Quite an adventurer. "Are you alone?" -he asked, not sharing the same eagerness to meet someone as Gale did, his voice also carrying that dissatisfaction with the words. He wasn't aggressive or threatening as Gale was just a pup, but he did appear bothered. He begin to move forward towards the pup, still carefully placing his steps as the ground was quite perilous. There was no point in turning around now that he had been spotted and perhaps this young one could offer him some information he needed. After all, most pups were easy to trick into sharing secrets -one had to just be patient and friendly enough. For that purpose, the earthen male tried to put a bit of a smile on his face and remember to wave his tail in turn. He was.. so friendly after all. It became obvious to Garmir this pup had never been taught to be wary of strangers or if so then he had learned nothing. He was so innocently naive Garmir felt almost compelled to teach him a lesson so that he would be more careful in future for his own sake. But then again, this pup was not his responsibility and right now Garmir needed information, something which would be easier to gather with sweet talking and playing friend, rather than shaking the little one up. The young 'un practically saw the strange male as friend already it seemed, so this should be easy. Supressing his urge to grap the pup and throw him to the ground, Garmir put on best smile he could, his posture appearing more relaxed and his tail waving behind him lazily as he approached. "Well met Gale'uh Griffin Avalon. That is one big name! You must come from big family don't you?" -He begin, his tune much more gentle than what it was just moments ago.
Since they were trading names already, Garmir would also give his. At first he thought about just making one up but there propably was no reason to make false identity as he wasn't planning to stay long in the area. "I am Garmir. Just...Garmir really. Not as fancy name as your's" -He murmured, trying to even appear as if he was bit envious about Griffin's mighty name. Playing this kind of character was really hard for him and he really had to remind himself constantly to keep his friendly posture. It had been so long since he had really even made a smile.
As he approached, the earthen male moved little bit higher on the river bank, thus also trying to lead the pup into safer ground. It would be so unfortunate if the little Robinson fell into river before Garmir had learned everything he wanted to know. The water seemed very cold and the stream dangerously strong. Who knew where the little one could end up if he fell - if he survived the swim in first place that is. [/dohtml] |
