No flowers... by request - Boreas - Oct 26, 2017 [dohtml] caring is not an advantage Boreas
Oh but he could only hope they weren't too late. For months they had been searching but it was exceedingly difficult to catch someone who happened to wander in whatever direction the wind might be travelling on that given day. In the end, they had taken their fathers directions and headed mostly west. He had an inkling that perhaps that would be where Eurus wound up, as much as all of them hoped she'd never get this far. Now with the great mountain looming just ahead, he knew they were out of luck. Mismatched eyes scanned the forest, the red ferns reminding the eldest of little more than dried blood. His mouth pulled in a tight line as he spotted the first of the low hanging skulls, seemingly lining a path much like a will o' the wisp might taunt someone closer to their death. He swallowed down a lump in his throat for it wasn't the first time he had seen such adornments. "Zephyrus." He motioned with a tip of his head. Eyes peering down the bone scattered path. Had they finally caught up to her? RE: No flowers... by request - Zephyrus - Oct 26, 2017 Zephyrus was always hot on his brother's heels, so when his name was called his head was lifted - catching sight of the morbid trinket hanging from a low branch. His gut clenched and mismatched gaze looked back down to the ground as he moved closer towards Boreas' side. There was only one thing he could think to ask. "Do you think she's been here?" A pale brow raised above his blue eye. He couldn't smell her but that wasn't unusual. If she had made it this far without being scented or spotted by them then who knew when they would stumble upon her. She was a bit of a slippery snake, but Zeph still cared for her all the same. It was why he wanted to find her sooner rather than later. His nose twitched as he slowly crept forward down the path. Any sign might be a good sign at this point. "She couldn't be too far." The pale brother always mused despite knowing very well she could be. |
