wolf moon - Lilith - Jan 03, 2018 All welcome but dated to January 1st
The dropping light of the sun painted the land with faint, warm hues of orange, and pink. It wasn't what she was watching, even though she was going that direction. Her mind was all about the east, on the moon. She intended to watch it rise, and bath in its luminous light. It would give her the insight she needed. The silence and assurance she sought. As tonight it wouldn't just be full. It was also one that belonged to the wolf. A symbol in the brutal winter of their power that also promised to bring strength and clarity. It would be the best time to mediate on where she may be lacking. It might just the best time to scry. It had been awhile since she'd been successful, but she didn't hold onto the thought. Withdrawn to the western part of the territory, a top a small hill she waited for the day to be officially over. Though impatience may have writhed beneath in her dark coat, even breaths were all she allowed. Gold eyes trained along the dark silhouette of the mountain. Little by little the sun's light came to an end, and the silvery orb began to ascend above the dire mountain. The sky changing to a rich cobalt, and the snowy landscaped beginning to glow in turn. Already she felt anything unsteady leave her. RE: wolf moon - Leotie - Jan 03, 2018 Leotie is not currently visible but feel free to have Lilith detect her or not. Whichever way you would like to play it. Other ridge wolves still welcome.
[Dohtml] Leotie couldn't help but be suspicious of the girl who had showed up at the ridges border wanting to join and claiming she knew Sven. Maybe she had let her jealousy run a little wild as of late but the Agouti woman couldn't help it, she cared about Sven, probably more than he knew and this woman...well she just couldn't stop herself. On her way back from a hunt Leotie had caught Liliths scent and decided to follow her. She stayed a good distance do as not to be detected.
What she was as doing was probably wrong in so many levels but she didn't care and of given half the chance she would let Lilith know where she stood. For now it didn't hurt to watch the woman and see what she was all about but most importantly what she was doing. Staying hidden behind one of the Willow’s they gave Dropping Willows it's name Leotie remained hidden so she could gather some more information. RE: wolf moon - Lilith - Jan 30, 2018 In the light of the moon she only wished for company now. An idea that made her laugh at herself. Though not actually out loud. She was holding onto her thoughtful demeanor. She liked being a mystery here, and back home she'd never get a moment like this to herself. She would have shared it with everyone as at the Dell there was hardly a way of going solo. Now she missed that? She supposed it was just the newness of the solitude she was adjusting to. She really didn't miss some of her "sisters" mindless chatter. Knowing if you weren't being followed you soon would be. Lilith was merely hopeful Sven or another member of the Ridge would join her. With a deep breath she discarded thoughts of the Dell, and closed her eyes. Quietly meditating, not yet knowing a pack mate was closer than she thought. RE: wolf moon - Leotie - Jan 31, 2018 [dohtml] Standing in the shadows Leotie knew that wasn't like her at all. Watching the dark figure of Lilith from her hiding place she didn't know what the woman was, friend, for, someone here to still Sven away from her. That thought had crossed her mind more than once. She'd never faced such a thing before and didn't know how to handle it. Until she knew where this woman stood in the scope of things she could not be trusted.
With a deep breath Leotie decided there was only one way to figure things out. She stepped out of the shadows. “Hello Lilith, what are you doing out here at this time of night?” she said as she came into view. She kept her tone formal, she didn't want the newcomer to get the wrong idea. RE: wolf moon - Lilith - Mar 05, 2018 From slit eyelids golden eyes peaked, seeing the tawny and black figure of Leotie lift from the shadows. She felt like she'd rattled the girl a little, but maybe she was coming to terms Lilith was here to stay. A smile fashioned itself on her dark snout, as her eyes fully opened. "Drinking in the moonlight," she murmured softly, if not to break the sacred quiet. "It's a tradition of sorts," she added, a more friendlier, if not proud ring to her tone. Though she held back going into details not sure if they were wanted. There was a curious tilt of her head, and furrow of a question to her brows. "And what pray tell are you doing out here Leotie?" If she was concerned by Lilith's late behavior it was a little odd for her to point it out when she herself was prowling. RE: wolf moon - Leotie - Mar 06, 2018 [dohtml] She was not one to skulk around in the dark, she needed Lilith to know that she was here on Willow Ridge and that she wasn't afraid of her. Stepping out she got a answer she wasn't expecting. She mulled this over for a moment, “And what exactly is the purpose of this tradition?” She asked a note of curiosity laced in her tone. She didn't understand and she couldn't keep back that thirst she had for new knowledge. Still she remained cautious of the woman not wanting to get too close to her just yet.
Leotie's head tilted and her brow furrowed as she was questioned about why she was out so late. “Just got back from hunting,” she answered a little more curtly then was probably necessary. She didn't think Lilith had any right to question her as such. [/dohtml] RE: wolf moon - Lilith - Apr 04, 2018 The huntress did not take her eyes from the tawny lady. She did not want to miss seeing what she might cause from her declaration. Which seemed to have taken her off guard, but she saw nothing that worried her. "It has many though I suppose the most would be to gain strength and clarity." Ancient knowledge not everyone had been blessed with. At least this woman didn't seem to scoff at it. Not yet was her tagged afterthought. Lilith would do her best to see what was underneath even if it meant getting under her skin. Something that didn't seem like a hard task. Her curt reply caused a laugh to escape her lips. Amused by it all. This one seemed to have double standards. "You're embarrassed you have nothing to show for it?" She wagered, though puzzlement clearly etched her face. If she had no idea what the rudeness was all about, and trying to make light of it. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Apr 04, 2018 There is a moose carcass that has been scavenged by coyotes nearby. +15 Health RE: wolf moon - Leotie - Apr 05, 2018 [dohtml] Leotie was unsure what to make of what Lilith was telling her. That moment want really the time to make a decision. Instead she wanted to hear about the tradition that the darker coated woman spoke of. The Agouti woman wasn't one to judge someone on their beliefs. Besides her irritation with the woman wasn't rooted in what she believed but her connection to Sven. There wasn't any reason she couldn't learn something from Lilith. “Is that what you're trying to gain here tonight?” She asked as she sat back in her haunches.
An annoyance entered her tone that she would even be asked what she was doing by the dark coated woman. She'd answer the question and rose a brow at the response she'd gotten back. “No, it happens. I'll just go back out tomorrow and make up for it.” Besides the ridge wasn't hurting for food. [/dohtml] RE: wolf moon - Lilith - May 17, 2018 "Yes. It isn't easy when things change," she softly proclaimed with a trace of sadness. She would likely agreed with her about that. What made Lilith think so could hardly be described. It was just like how she knew she needed to be here. She had to follow Sven. Lilith wanted to smirk and laugh at this turn of events. Instead she shaped her lips into a mild smile. "I'm sure you will then, " she spoke with a lightness and warmth back in her tone. If she believed it would be so, and Leotie should too, and everything would be fine because tomorrow. This was just the beginning. Stretching her limbs, she re-positioned her seat. Then with her eyes closed she took in a long breath. Savoring it, and the silver light. The least bit bothered by her new found company. "You are more than welcome to join me. Mother Moon has a fondness for daughters. Maybe, she can help you find answers you're looking for. |
