The Sounds of the Earth - Wille - Jan 28, 2012

Wille padded silently to the pond. She had a mix of emotions going through her mind. She was happy and felt triumphant that she had been accepted into a pack. She had felt she had conciliate Ruiko, her now superior, with her reason about what she could offer. She felt a sense of pride and fulfillment rush over her body. Her tail flicked and ran down her spine. She was also very happy that she had at least knew Kano in the pack, and she was hoping to meet more pack members and have a real circle of friends than the lone wolf experience.

Wille sat by the misty Secluded Spring. This was were she was accepted into the pack. She sat down, tucking her paws under her belly and gently laying her head on the earthy ground. She felt a few loose dirt enter her white long fur. The rest of the dirt was packed tightly from the recent visitors in this area. She felt the rhythm of the earth's beating heart. She loved the noise. She heard the buzz of bugs, and humming of birds. Tweet, Buzz, Tweet. She slowly fell to a long deserved nap.

The Sounds of the Earth - Kanosak - Jan 28, 2012

Kano had finished his duties for the moment so he decided to make the most of his current downtime by seeking out the white wolf he had found his home with. While they still saw each other every day it seemed rare they got the chance to spend any quality time together and something inside him was aching for her company.

When he returned to the den and she wasn't there, he headed to the next place he thought he may find her. It was a short walk to the Secluded Spring, but it was a place he often frequented, in fact just this morning he had bumped into Kashikoi, or the Scrap as Kano had come to refer to him after the hunt with both he and Anyu. His scent still lingered here and on Kano.

As he got closer to the waters edge he saw her and smiled a relieved smile. She looked so peaceful curled up on the ground so instead of waking her he settled down next to her and relaxed, enjoying the peacefulness of the spring and all that surrounded it.

The Sounds of the Earth - Kashikoi - Jan 28, 2012

Filled with more birr already after eating another meal for his recuperation from starvation. He looked back at himself wagging slightly that his bones were not as defined as they used to be. He still didnt know the terriotory but he new its borders somewhat. Having nothing else to do he decided to come to the area where he first arrived to see it with a new outlook. Before even seeing them he smelled kano and another wolf. He walked up slowly to the two keeping himself small with his tail tucked a formalities demanded.

The Sounds of the Earth - Volkan - Jan 28, 2012

[dohtml]Hello :] Hope four isn't a crowd.[/dohtml]
A small white hare dangled from her jaws as she padded along, weaving her way through the trees. A scent had just caught her attention— well, maybe that was an understatement. It had literally smacked her in the face, and she had changed her course to go find these new wolves who had apparently joined the pack. She'd fallen into old habits and kept to herself for a bit. Was this karma, punishing her for being so absent?

Soon she drew up to the small group. On the ground there was a white female, a light-colored male near her, and then a slightly submissive-seeming wolf who was actually smaller than she was. Sort of a ragtag bunch, weren't they? Dropping the hare before them, Volk didn't bother to force a smile to cross her face; instead, she watched the three of them with slight confusion, which was evident on her face. "Pack mates," she commented, trying in vain to connect that word with their faces. Suddenly, Volkan couldn't help but feel awkward. The pack she'd been instrumental in forming was certainly... taking off, wasn't it? "...What's up?"

The Sounds of the Earth - Wille - Jan 29, 2012

Wille fluttered her eye brows open slowly as the beat of the earth, had turned to the silent padding of other wolves. She quickly stood, her legs wobbly as she turned around to see the wolves that gathered around her. How long had she napped? Surely, not too long. The tan wolf, her friend, Kanosak, was seated silently beside her. There was also a small, male wolf with his tail tucked in. She had felt a sudden burst of birr rush through her. She was higher rank, than this wolf. She smiled. It was awkward. She wasn't used to this, being a superior. She turned forward as another grey femme spoke.

Clearly, the femme had been here before her, as there was a look of discomfort. The young female, had learned the pack was progressing in recruitment. "I'm Wille, Wille Lylla."

The Sounds of the Earth - Kanosak - Jan 29, 2012

Kano's tail thumped the earth in greeting as the small brown male approached in an attempt to help him relax. When a strange dark female approached he smiled to himself. She smelled of pack but he hadn't yet met her. He listened to Wille's introduction and followed it up with his own. "Kanosak, or just Kano."

He knew it must be awkward for the young wolf, the sudden invasion of strangers on the land she had helped to establish. He had been planning on meeting all of the pack members but had been hard to pin down, always finding a way to keep himself busy that would help the pack as a whole. It was turning into a mini meeting and he wondered if any of the other scents he had caught would be joining them as well. He thought he had smelled Rebecca, but he was yet to catch sight of her.

The Sounds of the Earth - Kashikoi - Jan 29, 2012

Kashi lowers his head respectfully to the wolfs feeling a bit nervous around the other wolves. He goes off to the side to lay next to some shrubs not feeling like he fits in being the newest. He knew that if the wolves were mad at him for eating the kills to recuperate then there was nothing stopping them.

The Sounds of the Earth - Volkan - Jan 29, 2012

The names were of little consequence to her; nevertheless, she committed them to memory. Wille looked delicate, like a flower or something. Kanosak, or just Kano apparently, seemed calm. She shrugged arbitrarily, offering them all a meager smile, the most she could muster in the face of this situation. She just... hadn't envisioned it this way, with her being the odd one out. Secretly she willed Kinis or Ruiko himself to come bursting through the trees. "Volkan," she responded at last.

The other male had conveniently sauntered away for some reason. "What about you, what's your name?" she asked after him, feathered tail swishing, face drawn in a smirk. What was his deal? Really taking the whole submission thing seriously, huh? Speaking of that— what rank were these wolves? Especially Wille, who seemed relatively unfazed by her presence? Could it be that somehow, while she was away, she had lost her place as Aeylen's Second? For the moment she kept her thoughts silent, the wheels turning inside her head at how to figure this out, and if it was true, what to do about it...

The Sounds of the Earth - Wille - Jan 29, 2012

Wille turned to the brown male, drooping his head, his ears by the shelter of the nearby stones. She turned back to the speaker, with a smirk on her face. Volkan, seemed very irritated or confused with this whole situation. The fact that while she was gone, several new faces had appeared in the pack. She had felt that way too. She had been accepted into the pack from being a lone wolf, popped into a pack, where it seemed everybody was already a happy and aquatinted family.

Wille pawed the ground, anxiously, wondering what would happen in this awkward situation. The younger female's eyes battered into her skull. It seemed the confusion was mostly toward her. She moved away from Kanosak, so she could shake the loose dirt from her white, clean pelt and flicked her ear, to show she was also confused. Her tail ran down her spine, once more as the feeling comforted her.

The Sounds of the Earth - Kanosak - Jan 29, 2012

The tension in the air was palatable and Kano gave Kashikoi a sidewards glance. The younger wolf was clearly uncomfortable. He wandered over to the smaller wolf in an attempt to ease his nerves. "Calm down Scrap..." he said affectionately, "We're all pack now, there's nothing for you to worry about...Those two on the other hand..." he added with a grimace, keeping his distance from the two females.

He wanted to stand by Wille's side, she hadn't been raised in a pack like he had, but this was something she would have to face on her own. He hoped it wouldn't result in a fight, Wille had age on her side but the darker female was an unknown as yet. There was something about her, maybe a look in her eyes that sparked his insatiable curiosity and he decided he would have to put in the effort to get to know this younger wolf, now or later.
