RE: I hit the ground runnin' - Ravenna - Jan 30, 2018

Teacher 3/3

Adeltra remained curious, listening to everything Ravenna said, her expressions changing with each subject as Ravenna told it. Ravenna remained the way her brother had acted when he had been taught of the gods by her and wondered if one day @Nicolò would get into well enough spirits to perhaps share a storytelling lesson with the pack members. Ravenna had been lucky to learn so much from Adele and her mother and father while they were all still alive. Lucky for her and future generations, Ravenna had been paying close attention.

Then Adeltra went on to ask where all her siblings were, an interesting and yet touchy subject seeing as Ravenna was the only one of Angier and Elettra's children that was still in the Ridge. Perhaps for the best, if the reigns were to be passed down to her. While her other siblings had created something new for themselves, Ravenna protected the founding creation in this land.

"Much of the children 'leave the nest' so to speak when they grow old enough to explore the world or create packs of their own." Ravenna explained to the youth, shifting in her placement on the cool ground. "I never got the chance to meet Asriel or Castiel, but Morganna and Skoll stayed in the pack for years until they left. Morganna, Greer and Niles have all lead their own packs now." That just left Deacon, who she had only met briefly once and Isolde.

Addy hadn’t considered that it might be a tough subject for the woman, seeing as none of her siblings were around and neither were her parents. She felt a little bad, realizing how lonely it must be to be the last of your immediate family. But, she also hoped that Ravenna knew that she had her. Addy had started hanging around her cousin as of lately, that much was noticeable. Perhaps she wasn’t attached at the hip but she certainly saw her at least once or twice a day. In a way, Ravenna had covered some of the role that had been meant for Enoki. With the piebald woman’s absence the young Archer needed a strong female representative in her life and there was no better wolf that the Alphaess. She’d go to the ends of the earth for her.

She blinked in surprise as she listed off names. She hadn’t realized that Aunt Elettra had had so many pups. It seemed that the pale woman came from a bigger family than she’d originally thought. And so many of them leaders! Wow, Archers really were powerful wolves. Thanks, Rav, for telling me all this. It’s really cool, to know about where we came from and about our family, she said with a smile, a kiss being applied to the woman’s chin.

She smiled to the young girl's touch, an even further smile to the kiss offered to her chin, to which Ravenna accepted it with a grumble in her throat, a waving of her tail and a returned nudge and lick of her own. Since Enoki had disappeared of the pack (an action extremely unlike Enoki to do but then again, she had never lost a child before ether) Ravenna had been a loss without an older female in the ranks to look up to. One that, of course, had spent years at the side of her mother. Adeltra too, felt the loss and @Romanov so Ravenna figured that they could take comfort in the fact that they still had one another to care for. Ravenna did not know if or when Enoki would return but knew she would do her damn best to make sure both her children were safe in her absence. It made things much easier, too, knowing that Nicolo was still a part of the pup's lives. They had not lost everything and as far as Ravenna was concerned, they would never had to worry about being completely alone in the world.

"Any time, Del." She spoke to her little cousin, happy yet still how much she had learned and grown over just the past eight months of her life. It did not seem long ago that Ravenna was listening in to her and her brother's little cries for milk while Ravenna stood guard outside, barring her fangs at anyone who got too close to the den without permission. "I have faith that the name 'Archer' will go down in history, to never be lost. Every family argues and family member don't have to like one another, but they respect one another, are loyal to their family name. That is what keeps as strong." Her silver eyes studied the dark female as she sat, awaiting to see if there were any more questions she might have for her.

”Anytime, Del,” Ravenna said, her special nickname uniquely used by the Alphaess toward her young cousin falling from her lips. Addy knew the words to be true, a full amount of faith in the fact that she really could go to the Archer-Lyall if she ever needed anything. Their support system and bond was a strong one, tailored specifically between them and it made her heart feel full. There were many things that the young Archer felt thankful for and one of them was certainly the Ridge’s female leader. She wasn’t sure what she would do if she didn’t have her in her life.

She grinned as her cousin reassured her that they would remain strong no matter what happened and, again, she had no doubt in the truth of her words. Ravenna always seemed right, what would make her wrong now? The girl got up and gave her pelt a shake, showing that she was ready to get a move on. Need any help with your rounds? she asked, eager to help where she was needed. If not then she’d just go find something else to do. Whatever it was, now she had something to shoot for.

RE: I hit the ground runnin' - Ravenna - Feb 13, 2018

As Ravenna had thought time and time before and was certainly of no secret by the way she acted around them and spike of them, Ravenna was damn proud of both Adeltra and her brother, who has grown strong, independent and wise for their ages. It could have been the mix of Enoki and Nicolo's parenting, or the loss of their mother, or specially Adeltra having to manage on her own for awhile, but either way the young wolves they had turned into were something to be proud of. Maybe, just maybe, the pair could guide her children on the same path come spring should she be lucky enough to gain a pregnancy.

Once Adeltra lifted, Ravenna did too, shaking out her coat and stretching her limbs. "Well, you did want to train to be a scout didn't you? When not on outside missons, a scout reports at the border like the guardians. Where the guards take the front line if there are intruders, it's a scouts duty to report back any important information to the leaders if there is any." She smirked towards her cousin, reaching over to offer her a press to her shoulder with her nose and bounded off away just as quickly. "Come on! We will head south and make our way back up."
