The Night Sky - Fallen - Feb 01, 2012 Time: Night Fallen usually didn't travel to the Drooping Willows, as it was far from his temporary home in the WildWoods. The night sky blended with the male's dark, black pelt. The male flicked his ear in frustration, he did not know why he was frustrated. So much anger had filled him, ever since he had celebrated his sister's birthday. He scraped at the nearby Willow tree, as this place was named. He lay down at the base of the big tree, the wispy leaves hanging, threatening to fall upon him. His ghostly eyes scanned the area, seeking some fresh- kill. He stood up, flexed, them flicked his tail in frustration. He lifted his muzzle in the air, then howled. Not a howl of urgency, not a howl of fear, but a howl of loneliness. What had compelled him to do that? He shrugged then almost headed into the Cedars. But then, wouldn't he try to hunt here? It was good for a change. Every time, he came her, he hunted into the Cedars, the canopy distinguishing the slightest hint of sunlight. The moon was bright, and full bringing a little light to the Willows. He would hunt here. He stalked into the nearby meadow, preparing himself. The Night Sky - Rebecca - Feb 01, 2012 Who was howling? Stranger, but who? She wanted to knwo and so the ebony girl headed towards the sound. It didn't take long to find a trail of a wolf. Male ahd walked through here. To there. Head pointing to the direction he had went, unsure should she follow or not. Who cares? Go! Sniffing the snow as she went, following the trail, moolight shining on her fur. Who was walking here at night? Well, she was, but who else? Reba was eager to meet the stranger of night. And the darkness made her less noticable, happy. "Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight won't somebody help me chace the shadows away" the crazy girl sang. Correctly, rather beautifully if you can say so. Then she noticed the wolf ahead of her and quickly hid hersle fin the shadows, purposelly caused some snow to fall. Playing ghost was actually nice, too bad she wasn't actually one. Not that they even existed. Padding in the shadows, now quietly, making sure nothing revealed her. Not a sound, not a scent. Whne she was ahead of the brute, little left from him, hiding in the bushes, the ebony wolf let out veyr strange, quiet howl. The Night Sky - Fallen - Feb 02, 2012 Fallen's ear flicked as he heard another howl which answered his. As he sniffed the air, he noticed the female beside him. "Good Evening." he called. The younger wolf had scared away his prey, but at least there was a chance of meeting someone new. He padded forward, his eyes examining the wolf. She had a black pelt, just like him. Her bright eyes broke the darkness. He smiled. This femme had the same pelt as him. " I'm Fallen." Fallen heard the she- wolf's singing. It was quite beautiful. Her notes were the right pitch and the right notes. His sister used to sing. Plus, she was the only wolf, he had met, other than his sister, who sang. Her melodic notes flooded back memories. Fallen was the type of wolf who dwelled in the past, forgetting the present and future days to come. Another thought, flew by. Was this wolf in a pack? Was she his doyenne ? The Night Sky - Rebecca - Feb 02, 2012 Slowly Rebecca walked from the bushes, tail slightly wagging behind her. That was somehow special name in her ears. Fallen. Where had he fell from? From heaven? Had he been an angel? Pading closer, but staying on safe distance to not to be pushy, Reba sat down and tilted her head. "Hello. I'm Rebecca Wheatear, but it's shorter to say Reba". Tail still wagged, small smile rised to her lips as she eyes the stranger. Well, at least she knew his name, but really... Nothing else. He had black coat, like she did, but grey eyes, unlike hers. She had never lost her puppy blue, in fact it had just turned lighter. And she was fine with that. But now Reba had something else in mind. She wanted to know moer about her late night companion. "Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight take me through the darkness to the break of the day...?" the ebony girl sang again, quietly, now testing what the other thought about it. And usually they spoke, Reba had no words to say. She was rather poor at polite conversations. Okay, okay, she had no idea about them. Happy now? The Night Sky - Fallen - Feb 03, 2012 Fallen smiled at the younger wolf's optimism. "You have a beautiful voice, may I just say. I used to have a sister who sang...." he spoke sadly. He did want to make this a peroration about his past. He sighed, then shook his head. "So....." he attempted to change the subject, not knowing what to talk about. He had hated talking about his past, even if so it was a sliver. "What brings you here?" His muzzle opened to reveal a random jumble of words. He was, as you would say shy. Fallen always started meeting a wolf, with awkward conversions. Then, once they or he broke the wall, he would be his normal self- playful, fun, a jokester. It just took time to warm up to him. He just hadn't had enough wolves to warm up to...... The Night Sky - Rebecca - Feb 03, 2012 Ah, good, she didn't have to find out the starting lines. Maybe she should practise it a little more, how to flatter and stuff, but it really wasn't something Rebecca thought about important. Keeping herself alive and wealthy was something way more important. That did sometimes bring more enemies than friends, but it nothing she couldn't handle. "I was following you. And before that I just wanted to wander a little" Reba replied to Fallen. How to handle flatterings he had said? She did not know, so the ebony girl only smiled to them. Her way to thank. "How about you?" she then inquired. They were both traveling in the middle of the night, so... Ha? The Night Sky - Fallen - Feb 05, 2012 Now that was a caprice. What was he doing here? Was he going to get some fresh-kill? Was he seeking company in the middle of the night? Or possibly just want something to do in his boring, old routine life. He needed an answer. "I-I don't know. Maybe I have too much on my mind..." he answered, shaking his head. Rebecca was probably confused, as was he. Many things bumped around in his head. Mostly his sister. Would she approve his life now? How would he be with his sister with him, now? Most certainly much more better or kinder. He sighed as he flicked his tail. The moon shone through the branches of the big willow tree. A light breeze ruffled his medium length charcoal pelt. At least, he maybe had Rebecca to talk to. The Night Sky - Rebecca - Feb 05, 2012 Ah, shy boy was he? Well, that was something she couldn't help with, or at least she didn't know any way to do it. Too much in his mind? Rebecca's solution usually was: don't think so much, but she knew sometimes you needed to think in order to keep your sanity. Maybe that was the part she had failed in? Not thinking enough? Maybe it could be fixed that way too? No, too much trouble. Reba was fine with her insanity. "I see... I think." she replied with teasing smile on her face. Tilting her head, looking friendly. The black girl didn't really know what to do or what the male wanted her to do, listen to him or clear the air from the heavy feelings. The Night Sky - Fallen - Feb 07, 2012 Fallen wagged his tail as he stretched. His muscles were tense. He returned a smile as the female gave him a teasing one. He wondered how young was this female. Was she younger than him? She certainly looked childish and he wondered if she'd like to race. Racing was obviously dangerous a night, but he had wanted to try. His muscles and broad shoulders were tense and stiff from the lack of activity. He was used to his "workouts". But today, oh today he wasn't doing anything. A good race would loosen his tight body. He stretched more, hoping to find some relief. In his search, he found nothing, so he tuck his thigh in the air, wagging. The Night Sky - Rebecca - Feb 07, 2012 Having hard times with underworked muscles? At least ti seemed that was with Fallen. After all taht scretching, he still didn't seem satisfied. Reba knew the cure. Something physically hard should be done, was it running or playful fighting, just something. Hunting if you felt so serious. Rising up, wagging her tail lowering head, looking very, very impish with her grin and shining eyes. "Boy feeling tight? How about a run? You're never gonna catch me!" she challenged her, growling playfully, taking dancy steps towards the forest. Reba enjoyed running, during winter, runnign for nothing wasn't probably the wisest thing to be done, but sh wasn't going to give her favourite thing up just because seasons. Looking over her shoulder, wagging her tail, wating would Fallen accept her nocturnal run challenge. |
