The potential for five days sounded great, but Lorcan knew not to bank on it. The quicker he acted and got it all over and done with the better. The agouti male knew that he wasn’t going to like what he had now promised to do, and knew that there was a chance that he could end up worse than when he had first arrived in Willow Ridge, but if it meant that the rest of the pack was protected he would suck it up and give it his all.

He caught Odin’s solemn gaze, his golden eyes meeting the lucid peach. The thought of being branded a traitor caused Lorcan to shift uncomfortable on his paws. He felt like regardless of how things turned out, there was a potential for wolves to turn against him. Do nothing and Willow Ridge could cease to exist. Do something and risk being chased out of the very pack he was trying to protect. The male released another shaky sigh as he offered a nod towards Odin.

“If I manage to sort this, you and Kip are welcome to come back…if you decide not to stay with your mother, that is.” Though he was not leader yet, the offer was there if things went his way. He would fix this somehow. Stepping forwards, Lorcan placed his scarred muzzle on top of Odin’s, silently wishing him good luck and farewell, for now, before pulling away and allowing the young male to depart.
