please take my hand, we're in foreign land - Kip - Jan 21, 2018

This was... different. Joining the Ridge seemed like a good idea while it was happening. But now that she was here, under these imposing willows, by herself... it was hard to see the sky, and she never had liked feeling closed in like this. Where were her stars? Where was her freedom? She'd never pledged herself to a pack like this, and she couldn't help but feel trapped.

Maybe this had been a bad idea.

The snow underfoot crunched as she paused beneath a gap far above in the trees. Milky moonlight filtered through the dense clouds and the thin branches to illuminate the cold breath billowing around her muzzle. She still couldn't see any stars, and she felt farther from them than ever. Her ears pinned back against her skull and her fur fluffed up a bit, her small frame tensing up as thoughts ran rampant in her mind.

Had she always been able to feel her heart beating so harshly in her chest?

had a one way ticket to the place where all the demons go
Odin Archer

After the imposing forests they had to trudge through to get here the willows were open, light and airy by comparison but that didn't stop his skin from crawling. There wasn't a tree as far as the eye could see on the tundra and he still much preferred the open air to all of this, but it would do. He could make it work.

After making a pass of the borders, he quickly sought out Kip, he spotted her through the trees and recognised her tension as his own, and decided that this wouldn't do at all. He stepped up close, alongside her flank, entrusting his blind side to her care as his mouth pulled up into a crooked smile on the other. "Let's go down ter th' rise, I think yer'll like that a bit more'n this." He didn't wait for an answer before moving to lead the way.
