we got matches but nothing to light them with - Caelean - Feb 20, 2018 @Lavender || set after his thread with ana~
The small boy had found himself on the edge of the pack territory that night. Out here he could be alone while everyone else settled down for the evening. His breathing was slow as he tried to compose himself. There were so many scents around him it almost made him panic. He had gone from having one wolf to no one and now a whole pack. The changes had been leaps and bounds out of his comfort zone. But he had asked to come here and it would be rude to flee just because he couldn't handle so many wolves. Even the leader Lachesis had been so kind just like Ana had said. His face twisted into something more pensive. What was he expected to do during his time here? He had said he would learn but what would he learn? The Balik boy had no skills of his own besides traveling where he shouldn't and barely surviving on his own but he didn't think that was what pack wolves were looking for. RE: we got matches but nothing to light them with - Lavender - Feb 20, 2018 [dohtml] Even though her home had changed Lavender still found herself meandering through the trees under the cover of darkness. It was a habit she’d picked up from her father, who was the most nocturnal wolf she’d ever encountered in her short life. But she didn’t mind. The pale Stark enjoyed being out and about while everyone was sleeping, as she didn’t like being bombarded with conversation all the time. Typically she kept to herself, or harassed her twin. Whichever was more convenient at the time. Often she would trail after one of her parents, accompanying them on patrols or stalking them from a distance as she practiced her hunting abilities. Tonight, however, she trailed after a new scent. There was a new cub in the pack—and not one that Oksana or Risaela had brought home! No—this time Anastasia had brought home a wolf, which obviously meant that he was going to be just as nice as the blue-eyed dove. Hiya, she cooed as she approached the pale boy, her chartreuse gaze wide as she studied the newcomer. Her expression was friendly as her tail waved excitedly behind her. M’names Lavender, she introduced, her voice low as she did not want to overwhelm the boy, ’n you’re new. RE: we got matches but nothing to light them with - Caelean - Mar 07, 2018 He did not know he had a stalker. Granted the young boy had not been paying much attention to his surroundings. It was only when the voice called out to him that he came to life. His heart pounded in his chest, small paws gripping at the earth below him as he prepared himself for the worst. It was with a slowness that he turned to face the stranger. She was pale just like Ana and Lachesis. He had to wonder if everyone here was lacking more color than himself. Of course, everyone else but him made it look good. He looked like a far less pretty version of his mother with horribly sunny eyes. "Y-yes." His headed nodded sharply. He was indeed new and if that was to be his name then so be it. "N-nice to meet you, Lavender." Caelean tried to put on his best smile for the girl (who scared him terribly so with her well put together words and pretty looks) but it would mostly come off as awkward and scared. RE: we got matches but nothing to light them with - Lavender - Mar 10, 2018 [dohtml] Oh no, she had startled the poor boy! Instantly she shuffled backward, away from the newest river wolf, her pale ears flat against the back of her skull. Perhaps she had been too bold… not everyone was as excitable, or energetic, as her and her sister. Oops. She flashed him an apologetic smile and he stuttered a response for her. Sorry, she offered sheepishly, her plume wagging slowly behind her as she tried to soften her demeanour. She didn’t want him thinking she was a looney or something. That was her twin—definitely not her. I didn’t meant to startle you, she added, her voice becoming softer; quieter. I always get excited t’see new faces. The river pack seemed to be growing since their move west, which seemed like a good thing because her parents were a lot happier with their increased numbers. Y’like it here so far? RE: we got matches but nothing to light them with - Caelean - Mar 31, 2018 "I-It's okay." Not really but it sounded better if he said it was. It wasn't her fault he was scared of everything that went bump in the night - and day. His toes gripped at the damp earth beneath him at her question. "I-I don't m-mind it." Caelean's tail gave a few uneasy sways. The place was full of thick foliage for him to hide and large trees for him to take cover behind. Packs were supposed to be for social wolves but the Balik boy was content being by himself most of the time. The only exception had been Ana who had brought him here in the first place. "How long h-have you been here?" Has she been brought here like himself? Or was she another normal kid who had led a normal life unlike himself? RE: we got matches but nothing to light them with - Lavender - Apr 05, 2018 [dohtml] He said it was okay—that she had startled him—but she didn’t quite believe him. However, she wasn’t about to pester him. He was more timid than the others, reminding her of when she had been younger. Lavender had worn a brave face for most of her young life, as she didn’t want to appear weak in front of her twin or her parents. While she had been similar to the boy on the inside, the girl had seldom allowed it to show on her exterior. She was far too proud for that. She nodded gently at his response, her expression still soft and overly friendly. The Surge was pretty similar to the woods of Kingsfall but it was better. Much better. The river was strong, bigger, and the forest was thicker; denser. How long have you been here? What was with everyone and them not knowing she was related to Lachesis? Heck, she was basically a carbon copy of her father! Her head shook gently in amusement, a crooked grin unfolding across her pale maw. Since birth, she retorted, a swell of pride cocooning her words. Well, I was born into Hearthwood an’ then we moved here. |
