finally he found a way to reach the sky - Cyril - Feb 21, 2018 @Reiko | late morning, cold as heck [dohtml] He had grown quite fond of the mountain haven that his mother’s group had stumbled upon. The ebony boy was determined to explore as much of the area as possible, for he wanted to be properly acquainted with the new terrain if it was where they were going to set up camp. However, his paws still craved more, especially being in an unfamiliar area of the Lore. He still needed to head further south, back to the willows, to see how his friend was doing. Cyril worried about her more than he cared to admit, especially since their last conversation. Adeltra had mentioned the possibility of war breaking out between the southern packs; the result of miscommunication and a missing cub. Unfortunately the boy had been kept busy in the mountain. He was skirting the nearby territories, searching for wayward souls to join their group (even though he wasn’t interested in being social) and getting familiar with the land. During one of his adventures south the boy had skirted the falls; not paying them much attention until now. He liked sticking close to the rugged terrain of the mountain, for he was growing more accustom to the snow covered rocks. However, the boy was a little leery as he made his way through the trees, for he worried he would encounter the creep that had stalked him through the trees almost a month prior. Cyril had no intentions of encountering the weirdo a second time and this time he kept his guard up. Most of the waterfall was frozen now, along with the pool of water that gathered at its base. He could still hear the water flowing beneath, which made him cautious as he approached the edge of the frozen pool. Yellow eyes scanned his frosted surroundings, a cloud of mist hovering in front of his nose as his hot breath met the frigid air. For now, he was alone. For now, he was content. RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Reiko - Feb 21, 2018 [dohtml] reiko tainn Seemingly rather new to these parts, Reiko took to admiring the scenery every chance he had which was often. As a lone wolf, a decision he made if only to take care of himself first and foremost, he had the opportunity to move around to whatever territories were nearest. He wasn't keen on travelling too far away from the Draw on account of family but he was just as happy to venture where he could here. After all, there was always something RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Cyril - Feb 21, 2018 [dohtml] The few moments of solitude were well received and far too short. Most of his time was spent alone, as he preferred to do his patrols without the company of another (unless it was his mother), but he was still plagued by his thoughts most days. This place, however, caused all his worry to temporarily dissipate as he basked in the silence. The cold, while dreadfully bothersome, offered a unique type of silence; making everything muted. Softer. It made the dull ache in the back of his mind cease and the troubling thoughts of his father’s dead body fade to black. His head snapped around at the sound of another approaching; his brows furrowed together as the russet yearling appeared through the trees. Pretty, huh? He snorted in response, his yellow gaze returning to the frozen scene before him. It wasn’t ugly, but pretty? Cyril had seen sights far prettier than the one he was looking at. One of them being atop the monadnock, gazing over the lowlands… the lowlands where his father was murdered… all his fault! He blinked, quickly dismissing the thought as he returned his attention to the yellow-eyed stranger. S’okay, he answered with a disinterested flick of his tail as his toes curled into the frozen ground. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Feb 21, 2018 There is a family of deer nearby. Hunt Opportunity RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Reiko - Mar 04, 2018 [dohtml] There were very few times in the boys life where he felt like it was probably better just to keep his mouth shut. Moments that clearly were not meant for him and scenarios where it would have been better if he was mute and could give the excuse that he couldn't talk at all. Otherwise, he risks saying the wrong thing. Even when he feels injusticed by company's s'okay, he still manages to find a way to let his tongue get away with words. Know a place prettier? he didn't mean it in a challenging way but Reiko was quite interested in moving north and seeing more of the wildwood. He couldn't exactly do that without knowing what lay ahead. For all he knew, this dark fellow here could give him a more direct path to a place far prettier than these Falls. you can't blame gravity for falling in love RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Cyril - Mar 06, 2018 [dohtml] It was as though the tawny male had read his mind. His yellow gaze swept over to his companion, a line forming between his dark brows. A few, he answered honestly, but they’re north of here. Most of the northern eden and the heart remained unexplored by the ebony youth, which meant there were plenty of pretty places left to be discovered. All of his favourites had been north of the forests, tucked away in the expanse of tundra he used to call home. Cyril didn’t even know if he’d ever get a chance to see them again, or if he wanted to return to the lowlands. He padded toward the water’s edge, away from the yearling, to get a closer look at the frozen surface. Once the weather warmed and the ice melted this place would become the perfect retreat from the hot summer sun. If the sun ever decided to return to the lands of Lore. It felt as the though winter was never going to end… RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Reiko - Mar 11, 2018 [dohtml] In a way, Reiko did read his mind if only in the way that he had expressed discontent with the pretty layout in front of them. It was too easy to see that this wasn't his choice of place to be and that there was something better in the beyond. Do you offer tours? he asked, a hint of a smile at the corners of his lips as he pulled the question out. Reiko was quite interested in seeing more of the wildwood and seeing as he didn't expect to return to the Draw anytime soon, he might as well branch out and see what he could. Maybe one of the packs north would have him? He adored his sister (and the weird creepy dude) but he wasn't sure he wanted to be tied down by family. He was too young and needed to see for himself what was ahead. Could this weirdly seemingly anti-social dude help him? you can't blame gravity for falling in love RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Cyril - Mar 16, 2018 [dohtml] A tour? His lips fell into a thin line as his nose twitched at the question. Cyril didn’t know if he was the tour guide type. Being social wasn’t his forté. Sometimes it was even a struggle to seek out his mother or Adeltra, as the sullen boy had grown fond of being alone. Of the silence that came with it. But if he was nice and social with this wolf perhaps Cyril could convince him to join their group. Stay awhile. Or whatever. He almost groaned but gave a lazy shrug instead. S’ppose so, he added as his yellow gaze swept back to the tawny yearling. There’s a mountain lake, he started, motioning to the stretch of rock int he distance, it’s nice. Quiet. Group of us there right now. Another shrug—Cyril’s favourite method of communication. Other waterfalls along the way, too. The mountains were truly a magnificent place. RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Reiko - Mar 28, 2018 [dohtml] There was a very thin line here that seemed like it was fading from sight. Reiko realized that it might be a long shot for a stranger to agree to take him on a tour of the nicer views in the Lore. It had been so long and he hadn't exactly been able to venture to the broad lands away from the Draw when he was younger. A group? he asks, uncertain by what he is referring to but eventually the gears turn and he understands what a group meant. Just traveling through? Or making yourselves a pack? Reiko was all about enduring something new and being a part of a foundation. Of course, it seemed like telling Reiko about this group was exactly what he wanted to invest his tour in. Advertising it as the centerpiece of his touristy summary. you can't blame gravity for falling in love RE: finally he found a way to reach the sky - Cyril - Mar 29, 2018 [dohtml] Not sure yet, he responded coolly, his sunflower gaze fixated on the tawny yearling. I think the intention is to stay. But he wasn’t sure that was what he wanted. Cyril had grown accustom the freedom that was associated with the loner lifestyle. Traveling wherever he pleased (as long as he did not trespass on any borders) and not having to answer to a long list of rules. He still stuck close to appease his mother. He didn’t know if he was ready to leave her just yet—not until he had fully recovered from his father’s death. I’m not asking you to join, he added, his brows furrowed as he took a step away from the teen. There’s other places on the mountain to visit—away from the crowd. He shrugged. Part of him hoped the teen would refuse the tour, but he wouldn’t turn him away if he persisted. |
