cause you and i were born to die - Ravenna - Mar 04, 2018 Private for @Elias. Inspiration music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bag1gUxuU0g
Mount Hollow: Located at the base of the Riddle Heights, the cavern of Mount Hollow faces the expanse of the Drooping Willow forest beyond. The cavern looks previously used as a home, perhaps to a cougar or bear. It is a perfect spot for scouts or loners to rest as they pass from one side of the mountain to the next or even as a secret escape for a traveling pair. [dohtml] It had been days since Ravenna's time with Blitz in the Fireweed Rise and the memory of it still left a smirk on her lips and a pep in her step as she trotted along the outskirts of her home, east of her territory along the foothills of the mountains. The land here grew more and more rocky, as the Drooping Willows forestry became even more sparse as it broke away to the foothills. Though Ravenna had more or less kept to herself over the past few days (or perhaps those in her pack had thought it wise to keep out of her way) she found herself in high spirits. Spring was here and, for the first time, there was the posisibility she would become a mother. Last year Ravenna had felt annoyed and grumpy with her first heat, holding back her dominant natural nature in favor of her leader. Enoki had produced two wonderful children which only made Ravenna realize how much she wanted her own. Being with Blitz had not only been the most obvious choice, but best choice. Of course, he was the only male within the ranks that was not her blood which made the completion for him less so. However, he was also a male she had known since she was a pup and trusted. He was tall, dark and with piercing green eyes that captured her. His strong personal had drawn her in like a moth to a flame. She figured she could have anyone, be with anyone, and she had chosen him... And yet still, here she was, roaming beyond her territory as though she was just asking for it. Ravenna had thought that after breeding the internal itch which tingled down her spine would have gone away. That she would have felt 'complete' somehow but she had not. Her mind still swooned, her aggression towards the other females in the ranks still high and her need for 'cat calling' still apparent as she walked along the outskirts of the Drooping Willows, her tail waving like a banner, her ears perked high for others in the area. The lands out here for the time being were silent. The night was cool and the moon full and bright in the sky. It hung low over the mountains where her brother's territory reign. She remembered scouting out here time and time again with her mother looking for herbs that grew in the rocky terrain that did not in the forestry or the open fields. She tread carefully over the broken up grounds here until she came along a small cavern. It was nothing like the many turns and tunnels of the Whisper Caverns and it more so reminded her of the large opening of her own pack's den. Slipping in through the opening, she smiles to her new find with satisfaction. [/dohtml] RE: cause you and i were born to die - Elias - Mar 04, 2018 [dohtml] Though he knew it wasn't Kyna's fault at all-it was only nature-she was more than a little prickly as of late. She wasn't mean, no goodness no, she was just...Well, she wanted Greer's attention and she couldn't have it yet as he was still away....sooo it was probably best that everyone else gave her a wide berth. She was having a hard enough time as it was, worrying about her family. the last thing Elias wanted to be was a nuisance. It was fine though, staying away from the Heights meant that he could scout the lands some more, sniff and search for any clues to Thuban's whereabouts. It sort of felt as though he was singing an old song, one that had lost its relevance long ago. Where was Thuban? Was he here, was he there? He would never stop till he was found but...what if that never happened? What if he was gone, forever. Elias shook his head as he continued on, wandering Riddle Heights with little to no purpose or direction. The mountain air did good for his mind, there were no stinky distractions out here-or at least there weren't until then...He had to go and jinx it somehow, didn't he? Elias was a people person through and through...but when they smelled like that, all sweet and heady, his inclination was to leave it damn well alone. But maybe...Elias wasn't entirely clever all the time because there was something about the scent that seemed familiar, almost. It was only when he'd inched a little closer, down the slopes and over the rocks did he catch sight of a flash of greyish white amongst the shade of a a little cavern. Oh no. It was her. RE: cause you and i were born to die - Ravenna - Mar 04, 2018 [dohtml] Ravenna found herself moving along the walls of the small and secluded cavern, sniffing around the area, all the while filling the little mountain hollow with her scent. She wondered if Blitz would come looking for her or even Sven should he realize she was not safe within the borders of their territory. Sven, as only natural, had become ever more so protective and even possessive over the women within his ranks. He had seemed to try and keep most of his distance from Ravenna in her heating cycle, watching from afar, as it was obvious Ravenna had plans of her own this spring. Moving back along the opening, she settled down into a sit and looked out over the landscape beyond. The trees here at the base of the mountain were smaller and broken up as the land gave way to the mountains. She could see further out, the greens of the new spring beginning to arise from the still cold and hard earth. The threat of winter was coming to and end and she was relieved that none in her ranks had perished from it.
She took a deep breath, the fresh air filling her lungs and, his scent. Instantly her body tensed up, lifting from the cavern floor. Her gray ears perked high on her head, pale silver eyes scanning out around the area before her. There. The blonde, large wolf was spotted out to her right and looking into her direction. There was no use in pretending to have not caught him now. Filled with both disappointment and irritation towards him still at how their last meeting had ended and filled with rage towards his leader which was likely fueled by her wild (or just even more so) emotions in her state, Ravenna charged towards him. A silver flash of fur came barreling at his side, hoping to use her left shoulder and side effectively enough to slam into his rib cage and knock him over. He was far bigger then she, though caught off guard and with those funky feet of his, perhaps she could gain the upper hand and make him pay physically (to go with his emotional pain) for what he had done. [/dohtml] RE: cause you and i were born to die - Elias - Mar 04, 2018 [dohtml] She looked mad, but in all honesty he wasn't sure why. Yes, he was a screw up time and time again but... out of the two instances he could think of he wasn't sure which one irked her the most. Was it his cowardice, or his rude, thoughtless words? What did she hate most about him? There was a lot to hate, that was a topic Elias was intimately familiar with, as he was convinced no one hated him quite as much as he did but...Ravenna certainly was in the running for second place. He licked his lips, mentally bracing himself for the verbal thrashing she no doubt intended to give him but-instead she moved, quicker than she had any right to be. She was at his side in an instant- he had time to solidify his stance, a mere second or so, but he didn't. Elias let it happen, he let her whomp him right off of his feet onto the snowy floor. He landed with a thud and a wince but made no move to get to his feet. Clearly this was some sort of punishment and he deserved it more than anything. An apologetic whine slipped from his lips as he pressed his head to the ground, if this was what it would take for her to feel better than he was more than happy-perhaps a little too eager- to play along. He did his best not to breath in her scent-she was so close (!!!)-and instead looked anywhere but at her. What a nice little cavern she had found, rather surprising that a Willow wolf had stumbled upon it, but hey, it happened. What now, he wondered as he risked a very brief glance her way, as she towered over him, like an angry, vengeful goddess. RE: cause you and i were born to die - Ravenna - Mar 04, 2018 [dohtml]
Ohhh... There was so much about him she realized, over the time the Heights wolves and Willow wolves had been at odds with one another, that she did not like. She didn't like how he kept his mouth shut when he could have spoken his mind. Didn't like how he could be the cowardly lion when it was so obvious his physical shape was going to waste. She did not like how he had come to the Lore to find her pack mate and that she had hoped he would join her ranks if he had decided to stay, but instead chose the Heights. She did not like his meek personal and yet... She would herself drawn to him yet still. He had been her friend, someone she had invented into her home, sat with under the stars in the snow, traveled around with on the outskirts of her home. It was true that she was far more attracted to @Blitz personality. He was more or less the strong silent type. He did hard work and did not get into anyone's business. He didn't seem much into politics and it didn't matter, he backed up his alpha and his friend no matter what. He was loyal. Elias personality was far more gentle. He was sweet, considerate and a great listener. Ravenna enjoyed him very much and thought a wonderful friendship could have been built between them... of course, there was that matter of her physical attraction to him as well. A large wolf, made for power even if he did not use it. His coat was soft, thick, a beautiful blonde hue. Her head was spinning. He drove her mad. She toppled him over with ease - too easy, if she had taken the time to think on it. He hit the ground with a whine and a wince, pressing his head to the snowy ground. She wanted to yell at him to get up, to fight back, but knew that was unlikely to happen. He was a lover not a fighter and the odds were even less so likely for him to fight against her given how much he obviously cared about her. It was true very much so that she was taking advantage of him. How could she not? In her state of mind and with his willingness to appease she couldn't help but eat up every opportunity. She moved then to stand directly in front of him, her legs splayed in order to keep her stance should he try to knock her away. Her tail arced up high in the air in a dominant display, waving victoriously. The snarl on her face was a silent warning as she reached out at him, snapping at his cheek. She wanted to draw blood, leave a mark enough to remember her by and a wound that would sting as the pain that stung her heart. It wouldn't scar, surely not so, but it would last long enough to satisfy. She was in charge here and would always be, lest he proved anything otherwise. [/dohtml] RE: cause you and i were born to die - Elias - Mar 04, 2018 [dohtml] Elias' grimaced, his ears flicking back as he laid there, taking in the sight of her pointed teeth. She could easily hurt him if she wanted to and it was what he deserved, but was it bad of him to hope she was better than that? She had always been strong, for the lack of a better word, but this behaviour was borderline aggressive, so much so that Elias wasn't sure how much he was willing to put up with. It was not in his nature to snarl or growl, he couldn't even remember when he had done it last, but surely this would be a situation in which an ordinary man would do so. He willed himself to do something, anything as she drew closer and lunged at his cheek, now would be the time, right? But once more he did nothing, Elias just let it happen. He closed his eyes as pain spread around his cheek, sharp and stinging as she pinched at his skin. Warmth soon followed, a little trickle of blood rolled down his cheek, almost as though he was crying. He sat up then, or rather pushed himself so his belly was on the floor, his front legs extended before him. Was this what it had come to? Was this the sort of woman Ravenna really was? For a brief, worrying, moment Elias wasn't sure if he liked her so much anymore. A trace of sharpness emerged in his eyes, cold and hard like slate found on a mountainside. He was more like his Father than he would ever know, but he was still his own man, soft and warm and all too eager to place. That thought soon faded away, escaped between the trees as he looked up at the Queen of the Willows. It was okay. He had once said he would do anything to make it up to her, perhaps this was her price. A little blood for for all the pain he had caused her. "Did it help?" He asked. There was no anger in his voice, not even a hint of venom, he just sounded tired, quiet. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Mar 04, 2018 A young deer has been separated from the rest of its herd. Hunt Opportunity RE: cause you and i were born to die - Ravenna - Mar 05, 2018 [dohtml] Ravenna could feel her teeth make contact with Elias' face, slicing through the thin fur and skin there. It felt good to get her aggression out. Felt good to let him feel that physical pain in place of her emotional one. Perhaps attacking him was unnecessary but during this time of year her emotions were even more ablaze then normal. It had been far too long since she had been given the opportunity for a good spar and though this was a pitiful replacement, felt like this was as good as it was going to get. The grey woman pulled back then to observe the damage she had done when it was obvious Elias had no intention of retaliation. He shifted his weight to lay on his stomach, legs outstretched before him. His pale blue eyes were hard on her though his words gave away no malice. A single ear turned back and slowly, she nodded. Her eyes fell to the ground, pawing at his footing with its lack of toes in the middle. "Yes; it did." Perhaps it made her a spiteful, hateful woman in thinking so, but there was no use hiding it from him. Her pale eyes lifted then, looking over the two slices that started from under Elias eye and down the length of his cheek. She breathed out a sigh and then moved in to lick the wound. Her body lingered around him, her tail waving in the air yet more. She leaned into her friend, burying her for into his nape. She knew he would not deny her. "Come inside with me Elias, let me show you how else you can help." After her whispered words she would hop away, head lifting to the bright moon which blanketed her in its glow. Perhaps the Moon Mother would bless this night as a new start to their relationship. [/dohtml] RE: cause you and i were born to die - Elias - Mar 05, 2018 [dohtml] It didn't hurt, not really. Blinking felt a little weird, as did talking but rather than dwelling on the achy sting he pushed past it and focused on the present, on Ravenna's expression, her body language and the words that passed from her lips. It helped, that was good. He puffed out a sigh of relief, even though it was evident he wasn't yet out of the woods some progress was better than none. The fact that she licked it better...well that was different. He stiffened just a little, his confusion was clear but he didn't pull away or seem at all repulsed. It was just a sudden about-turn, she was acting stranger, unpredictable and once again Elias wasn't sure what to do make of her, let alone what he was supposed to do to make her happy. He whined a little at her touch, a soft, appreciative sound as he leaned into her, his tail tentatively tapping at the snowy ground. Okay, this had to be good, right? She wasn't trying to eat his face, perhaps they were on equal footing now. Or at least he could hope. And then she made a suggestion, one that made him hopeful, as though there was a light at the end of the tunnel. He was of course willing as ever, wanted to do whatever it took, but now that he was no longer at risk of losing his nose it was sort of hard to ignore a certain scent, or the way she held herself, her tail swishing about like that.... Elias blinked owlishly as he felt heat flush into his cheeks....She was awfully pretty, wasn't she? Smelled real good too. Unlike anything he'd ever smelled, sweet like a flower but tempting in a way he didn't at all understand. All of this felt complicated , really hecking complicated. "Uh....yeah, sure." He mumbled as he clambered to his feet, slow and awkward. If she told him to jump he'd want to know how high. "What was it you wanted again?" It was...had he eaten something funny? The longer he remained in her presence the harder it was to think clearly, of anything that wasn't Ravenna. Little did he know that was exactly what she wanted. RE: cause you and i were born to die - Ravenna - Mar 07, 2018 [dohtml] Elias didn't seem to complain at he whined with acceptance at her touch and as he lifted himself up off the ground and followed her towards the small cavern nestled at the foothills of the mountain. The rays of moonlight so bright in the sky reached into the majority of the hollow and Ravenna's coat still shined with that moonlit glow. He questioned her then, asking what he wanted and she turned around with a tilting of her crown.
He seemed a bit lost, uncertain of the situation and what to do. It seemed he had never done this before. Hell, up until a few days ago neither had Ravenna and it had been Blitz who had first opened the doors to this. Most wolves did not breed though unless they were either leaders or they left their packs to be one. Still, it was a only natural instinct that kicked in at this time of year. It puzzled Ravenna why he seemed so uncertain. Did he not like the idea of being with her? Did he have someone else in mind? After a moment she quickly dismissed this idea. If he didn't desire her then he wouldn't have agreed to follow her. He wouldn't be stating at her like that, either.
She walked back towards him then, the length of her muzzle brushing though the blonde hairs along his nape. "I want us to be able to trust one another again. Be close again... A new start to our friendship." She finally then explained, a smile toying at her features as she waved her tail for him. All he had wanted all this time was to make up and whether it was the hormones talking or not, Ravenna decided she wanted this too. She wouldn't beg so maybe by now he would get the picture.
