and in the midst of everything, i drown - Risaela - Mar 23, 2018 Being away from the Surge was helping her very much. The almost-yearling felt lighter and more relaxed and less stifled. There was too much going on there - too many wolves, too much noise... she couldn’t stand it. Not to mention the weird smells and the fact that everyone was acting... different. And Ris knew she was going to have to go back eventually, but for the moment, she was just happy to be seeing new things and meeting new wolves. Risaela paused at the foot of a steep incline, wondering just how hard it would be to get to the top. It rose far over her head, and she knew it would be hard, but... the adventurer in her was screaming at her to give it a go. Long legs tensed up before she ran in to climb up the first few little rungs, her tail wagging a bit in pride when she realized she had actually gotten pretty far. Logically, she understood it wouldn’t be very possible to reach the very top, but she was having fun just giving it a shot. What could it hurt, after all? Her paw suddenly slipped and she yelped, falling from the little ledge she was on and tumbling back down to the bottom. Pain lanced up her ankle to her elbow on her front left leg, and she whined slightly. Perhaps it was fine. Perhaps she just needed to walk it off. Putting weight on it was torture, and all she succeeded in doing was limping in a short circle, unable to currently put weight on the injured leg. Uh-oh... |
