Any Driftwood Surge members wanna try and get a coyote to appear with me? Open to DS and coyotes only

The swell her stomach carried had set her more on edge than it might have in the past. She didn't like the risks of leaving the territory, of running into something or someone that would do her children harm much like Mittani had done the season before. However, the confines of the Surge could only hold her for so long before she longed to pass through the borders and breathe some 'fresh air' outside of pack lands. She'd been so used to moving around so freely, that it felt incredibly limiting. Thus, the sparrow found her paws just barely traipsing over the edge of the lands, pushing the boundaries just a little to see what she could find.

It wouldn't be for long, was what she was telling herself. She'd be out and then back in once she went and took a drink a little farther away from the surging waters that flowed through the territory. Hardly anyone would notice her absence, nor did she think they should care. She was, after all, entitled to such trips. She felt as if she was the only one who felt nervous about this entire ordeal... or perhaps her and maybe her co-worrying lead @Lachesis as the two wolves often worried alike. The agouti leader shook it off and continued to carry herself forward, her tail softly floating from side to side at a steady pace.

It had been a long morning down at the lake doing some ice fishing. Or at least trying to, he wasn't very good at it, fishing had never been his strong suit. He supposed now that he loved by a lake he needed to work on it. It had been an unsuccessful trip and all he had to show for it was two wet legs and his chest soaked through. He'd given himself a good shake before turning toward the surge. There was other hunting that he could be doing that he was much more successful at. With spring growing nearer there would be plenty of pretty to be found.

What he wasn't expecting what she female alpha of the surge to have come down to the lake. He caught sight of her as he was making his way around the lake. He figured she would want to stay in the territory and rest. “Hello,” he greeted her with a smile and a wag of her tail. “How are you feeling today?” As a healer it was his job to make sure she was doing well but he also felt it was the polite thing to do as well.

RE: one more light - Lavender - Apr 16, 2018

Things were beginning to feel tense again—like they had never left the Kingswood. It made the pale Stark uncomfortable and she couldn’t help but worry, especially since their numbers had dwindled in the recent weeks. Reid had gone missing, Aytigin had been booted, Risaela had left once again … even her twin had been scarce … would there be any members left? Her lips tightened into a thin line as she trailed after her mother’s scent, her gangly legs working quickly to catch up. Most of her time had been spent inside the Driftwood borders, as she did not want her parents to think she was disappearing too, so it felt strange crossing over the borders. A heavy sigh escaped her as she bounded over the invisible line and quickened her pace, her pale ears falling against the back of her skull. She had debated on seeking out her father, but with the unusual amount of stress that seemed to follow him like a storm cloud, Lavender felt as though it was best if she left him alone. Plus, she was curious as to how her mother was doing considering her condition

She was surprised to catch wind of the pale healer as she drew closer to her mother. Immediately the girl feared something was wrong with Lilya; why else would the blue-eyed male seek her out? But, they were packmates and her mother was a leader. Which meant they would have non-medical related interactions. Duh.

She approached the pair with a soft, almost shy, smile gracing her alabaster features. Instead of greeting them verbally Lavender pressed her nose to her mother’s chin, her tail sweeping behind her as she turned to the blue-eyed healer.

It was Emrys she became aware of first, his words piercing through the silence she'd comfortably surrounded herself with were loud enough for her to turn her head, a soft smile on her features and a nod. "M'alright... jus' a little nausea." She insisted, though she was grateful the man was checking in on her. It was her daughter that arrived second, and she offered the girl a soft grin despite the silence that the eldest carried with her. "Been stayin' outta trouble, Lav?" She asked jokingly. She knew if either of her two daughters were causing trouble, then it was likely the younger of the two.

Still, what kind of mother would she be if she didn't tease her children every now and then? Her own mother had often used quips to rear her and her siblings into place without too much fuss. It'd worked, for the most part, though to think about it now, she knew her parents probably could have had better teaching methods, and she could have used more quips in her childhood to offset the serious nature of the situation they'd been in for most of their life. "Ah was just gettin' some fresh air ta see if it settle m'stomach a lil'."

Coming across Lilya away from pack lands was unexpected and a little worrisome. With her current condition it would be a perfect time to check up on her though he was sure Lachesis was taking good care of his mate. Still it wouldn't hurt. She assured him she was alright but a little nauseous, he nodded. “That's unfortunately pretty common though I probably don't have to tell you that.” One of the reasons just happened to pop up then.

Lavender had appeared, he recognized her immediately and offered her a smile. The pale healer remained silent while mother and daughter interacted. Surely the pup was worried about her mother as well especially since she was still so young. Lilya finally spoke again explaining what she was doing out by the lake. “Have you tried some ginger root or Yarrow?” He asked, “I haven't been able to find any but maybe Lachesis has some laying around for just such an occasion. Ginger root would be best though.”

She found herself smiling despite the awkwardness of this meeting. Lilya took little time in breaking the tension by asking whether she had been staying out of trouble and the young girl nodded without hesitation even despite them both knowing anything of the sort would be out of character. She looked then toward Emrys once more, listening to his suggestions and taking in the complaints her mother raddled off, it seemed she'd been battling bouts of nausea and desperately needed relief. She wasn't sure whether her father had a stash of yarrow or ginger root, but she figured if she could find it to help her mom she'd go looking for the root without question. What does ginger root look like, maybe I can help? she asked, her voice meek in comparison to the others. She looked to her mother just then, a look of questioning on her face as if seeking permission to be apart of the birth of her siblings. Judging from how large and round her mother was, she would be popping them out any day and she wanted to be prepared.

Yes, she remembered quite well this feeling that churned through most of her pregnancy last year… Lavender had been staying out of trouble – she knew that, but it never hurt to tease her daughter. She’d grown a little more adventurous over the past couple months – she remembered when the girl had been just a couple months old and had been terrified to leave the den, much less cross territory lines like her younger sister had a knack for doing. She asked Emrys if she could help, and that brought a soft smile to her features. She liked to think that she and Lach had done good raising them – sure, Lillana’s wandering paws seemed to have carried her away, but they’d raised them both right.

“Ah’ll ‘elp too… Ah think Ah remember what it looks like from when Lach would give me some last year.” She’d been trying not to make too much of a fuss about her symptoms, because at the end of the day, it was a natural thing that happened, and she knew that herbs were still just starting to grow back after the cold snapping jaws of winter had finally eased.

Emrys easily gave suggestions to the mother to be for things she could use for the nausea she was feeling. He'd given the same things to Jynx the previous year for her’s when she'd been pregnant with their children. He wasn't surprised when Lavender asked if she could help, his blue eyes lighting up at her request. “You can most certainly help Lavender,” he said happily. He had always enjoyed teaching others about the healing arts and he'd hoped that Lavender would take an interest though he also realized that this interest could he because her mother. Still he was happy to show her.

Just as he was about to describe the plant to the child her mother spoke about helping and remembering what it looked like. “Its a short, dark green plant with a heart shaped leaf that are hairy. We can find it in more shaded areas of the forest,” he explained to both of them, “It may also have brown or maroon flowers as well.” He didn't know if there was any to be found but if there was he felt the three of them would find it.

Awkward, she was being awkward. At least, she felt that way. In an attempt to calm her overt nervousness she looked to her paws and found that they were moving beneath her, lifting and lowering ever so slightly beneath her before she found the power to stop it and looked to Emrys without word. He was smiling at her and she couldn't help smiling back, wondering if he had caught the movement in her feet and secretly hoping he hadn't. Her mother had offered her assistance in finding the root and without missing a beat her tail lashed behind her in excitement, although she worried over her mother and the condition she was in, she knew that two (or three) heads were better than one and was glad that she'd offered to help. The pack medic described the plant with great detail and she stored it easily, nodding her head to assure him that she understood the directions and looked to her elders before finally speaking. "Got it. Dark green with hairy heart shaped leaves" she repeated, as if proof that she had been paying attention and looked toward her mother, perhaps for further instructions before finally poking her nose to the ground in search of the necessary plant. She remembered the words of her father, how interested he was in helping others and the great care he took in tending to the medicinal plants and she found herself beaming at the possibility of proving similar care. It helped too that her patient happened to be her mother.

There is a deer carcass being picked over by three coyotes. They spot you and become territorial of their kill.
