not looking for some fairytale bliss

His words were comforting in the fact that she'd see things fall apart and how it could break up families and ruin lives. She didn't want that for her and Sven’s children. She wanted them to always know that no matter what they could always return home. That they would be loved no matter who they ended up being once they had grown into themselves. More than that she felt reassured that Sven felt the same way as she did. She'd never doubted him but hearing out loud held its own power for her.

“No matter what,” she added to what he'd said. Just like she felt the way she did about their father. After what he'd told her Leotie hadn't needed time to think about things or clear her head. She'd known right there and then that nothing he could say would change how she felt about him.

Leotie had one worry that often caused her to not want to have her children, the fear of losing them. What if they were taken from her or they got lost? What would become of her? Would she end up like Enoki, searching for them and never finding them? As much as she didn't want to think about it her mind would go there sometimes. She'd only just found out she was pregnant but she'd fallen in love with them before she'd even known.

Sven didn't know if they would go missing, she understood. It wasn't something that could be predicted. Leotie leaned into him, “We won't ever give up on them.” It was said quietly against his fur. She made that promise right there and then that if something did happen she wouldn't give up hope that she would find them or they would return.
