Water you see? - Ryker - Apr 30, 2018

He had taken a break away from his sister and Solomn, because as much as he loved Lucia and liked Solomn, Ryker needed a short break away from them.

His blue eyes squinted slightly as he tried to take in the scenery before him but like always, expect the things within a few feet of him, everything was on the blurry side. He thought there was water nearby, along with the strong scent of wolves which he tried to stay far away from. The smell was strong enough that right away he knew part of this area belonged to a pack. All he needed was a drink and hopefully, the water was outside the borders.

Because no trouble was wanted for Ryker today, no sir. He'd stay far away and if there was any reason for him meet these wolves, he wanted it to be on neutral ground. But that didn't mean trouble still wouldn't find him.

"Fuck!" Really, the young wolf knew he had to focus on where he was going or else he'd run into things. Like the low hanging branch that whacked him in the face. He was just about blind but he didn't need to lose an eye for hell's sake! Snapping in annoyance at the branch, he carefully skirted the tree and continued on his way while making sure to keep his eyes open.

His ears pricked when the rushing of water could be heard and a grin crossed his face. Finally. Managing to dodge through the last of the trees, the boy came to a slight clearing where a waterfall was cascading down.  Some water gather below it before shooting off from it to form a small stream. Ryker paused at its banks, letting his toes dip into the edge before he lowered his muzzle to drink. It was still cold, as if it had just melted from ice.

RE: Water you see? - Reyes - May 05, 2018

Velo en Cascada was the first place Reyes had really been upon entering Relic Lore (what felt like absolute ages ago, even if he really wasn’t that old yet), and it had pleased him when Askan had decided to settle their pack nearby. Its existence hadn’t been a deciding factor at all – rather was the fresh supply of water at Shallow’s Edge, the relative privacy, and the protection offered by the dense forest – but it was a nice bonus. When the alpha needed some space, well…

No one really knew to find him in the caves hidden behind flowing veils of water except his lover.

So he was a bit surprised when a loner, of all wolves, waltzed up to one of the pools outside the small falls, and began lapping from the shores. The male bristled and got to his feet, emerging from the shadows and from behind water – dry and ethereal, like some sort of antagonistic Adonis. “Who the fuck are you?”

And why the fuck are you on my doorstep, punk?

RE: Water you see? - Lucia - May 14, 2018

Gone were the days that Lucia mocked her brother for his impairment, but she was far from forgetting the vulnerability. The moment she'd discovered that he was gone, not just out somewhere nearby, but actually far from her, she'd grabbed up Solomon and determinedly set after the boy's trail. There was no way she was going home to mom and dad with a Ryker that had less pieces than he'd left with.

When she found him, and some other scarred-up guy too, she could smell the thick stench of others and immediately bristled defensively. Had her brother already gotten himself into trouble? The stranger's sharp words caught her attention and she scowled, picking up her speed until she was right at Ryker's side.

"Ain't the right way to ask that question," she shot back to the shadowy man. No one bullied her siblings except for her.

The scent of a large band of coyotes is on the breeze.

RE: Water you see? - SolomonGlast - May 14, 2018

Damned if these kids weren't going to give him an ulcer. Or even worse, get him torn apart by a damned pack.

"Shhhut up, shut it," he hissed at the girl, quickly pushing himself onto the scene after Lucia. His scowl was for the duo under his watch, Ryker for wandering off and then getting so close to a pack's territory--just because his eyes didn't work so well didn't mean his nose wasn't just fine. And Lucia, she wasn't likely to learn how to watch her tongue until someone beat the crap out of her for it, but Gent would have his hide if that happened under his watch.

"I'm sorry, they're a little--" he stopped, nose twitching as the wind shifted and the stench of coyote filled the air. Dammit.

RE: Water you see? - Ryker - May 31, 2018

Yelping out of fright - because where the hell did this wolf come from?! - Ryker whipped around to face the man. Where had he come from? And had he really misjudged where the scent markers? The yearling thought he was on the right side of them, the side where he wouldn't have any trouble but had there been a mistake made?

With ears tucked against his lowered head and tail tucked between his legs, Ryker opened his mouth to apologise but before he could, Lucia arrived at his side and snapped at the older male. Licking his lips nervously, his wide eyes flicked over to his sister.

"Luc, please don't." He quietly whined to her. He didn't want trouble and apparently, Solomon was in agreement as the man hissed at Lucia to be quiet before going to apologize instead.

But Solomon's words were cut as the scent of a band of coyotes wafted on the air. Which made Ryker even more anxious and frightened. His chest had already tightened slightly but now he was finding it harder to breath, making his breath come out in short harsh bursts and his skin felt like it had shrunk to his bones.

Great, the perfect time to feel like shit when an angry stranger was nearby with a pack of coyotes were bearing down on them too

RE: Water you see? - Reyes - Jun 17, 2018

“Feel like it is,” Reyes snapped right back at the yearling – young adult? – as she and her sidekick showed up. Great. They all looked pretty young, but fully grown, and three against one was always poor odds, even if no one actually knew what they were doing. He wrinkled the bridge of his nose and tried not to sigh. Not that it mattered much. The biggest one was halfway through apologizing for his rude companion when the breeze picked up, promptly informing the gathering group that they weren’t the only canine conglomerate nearby.

Double great.

Reyes rolled his ears back as he sniffed. “You guys bring those punks along with you?” What the hell.

@Ryker -- Maybe you and I just keep going?  The others can just be in the BG since they went inactive?
