With New Journey Comes New Allies - Samara - Jun 10, 2018

@Daesamar

'With new journey comes new allies. With new journey comes new allies.' It was all the she-wolf could think about. The loner had been traveling for most of her life now. Of course not when she was a pup, but since she was 2 years old. A juvenile as her old pack referred to her as. Just a young wolf exploring the depths of the new biomes. Could she ever fulfill her dreams of joining a pack? Samara cradled herself from whatever hid within the forest. Watching her every move. More like stalking her. She wanted to shield herself from the dangerous world. But can she? Too many things probably want to tear her apart at just the sight of her.

Could she ever even make an alliance? She has been alone for quite a while. Surely she has the experience. Would she have to prove herself though? Samara Alizair was her full name. She learned to live with it but never understood why she was to claim the name. So unique..She earned her last name from her mother. A once beautiful, elegant she-wolf. Is that where Samara gets her beauty from? She most certainly gets her appearance from her mother but does not get her personality from her. Her mother was so uptight and overprotective of Samara. But aren't all parents? Meanwhile, Samara is laid back and a chill and understanding wolf. Her mother never understood. And she probably never will.

Sorry for the delay!

He had made this journey once before, long ago, or so it felt, almost like a lifetime ago. The rugged trail the large black and silver wolf was trekking lead right up to one of his favorite spots to watch the sunrise. Here, awhile back, he had met the small green-eyed wolf @Kip and later joining her pack. Pausing for a moment, the yearling thought back to his former packmate. He wasn’t sure why she had left, but he wanted to respect it either way. Tears formed in his sterling gaze as he thought about the friend he had lost, even if she still was alive, hoping she was out there someone, happy and finding a place where she could belong.

He closed his eyes for a moment before exhaling softly and starting back up the trail if he wanted to get to the top in time to watch the sun crest over the eastern horizon, then he’d need to pick up the pace. His ears perked, nostrils flaring as the scent of coyote even managed to reach this far up. Another scent caught his attention, one he hadn't been expecting. Another wolf, and alone from what he could tell. His brows creased in concern, even though he was out here alone as well, the scent of his pack might deter the pests from bugging him too much, or so he hoped because he had no intention of missing one of his favorite events.

Up and up the young wolf hiked, panting lightly by the time he reached the start of the plateau. He looked out, catching the golden rays of the early sun starting to rise. Licking his lips, he picked up the pace. His long, purposeful, strides bringing him closer and closer to the loner’s scent as well. And there! He spotted a greyish-white pelt standing near an outcrop of rocks. Once he got closer, he let out a soft, friendly bark of greeting, grinning widely as he called out “Ya climbed a long way, came for the sunrise as well?”

An unusual voice interrupted her depressing thoughts of her old pack and surprisingly she was glad the voice did so. Turning her head she noticed a medium-sized being who had spoken to her. One of her kind. A wolf as well. This made her feel a bit more relaxed than when she first heard the voice, which made her tense. What was this wolf doing alone? That was the question Samara was wondering. She couldn't help but have her thoughts lead back to her past. She hated her past, so, so meaningless to her. She wasn't like some wolves where she had an amazing past and still lived with the amazing memories. This was a past that she wanted to forget.

Enough about Samara now and more about this figure. She glanced over at the being and put a half smile upon her maw, trying to seem..what's the word..happy? She listened as the male asked her a question. The sunrise. Ah! She almost forgot about it. Luckily the wolf reminded her. "Ah, indeed I did. I admire sunsets a lot. They have so much...meaning in them. Don't ya think?" Samara tried to seem as nice as possible. She would be devastated if she scared off the wolf. She wouldn't blame the wolf either. Although, he seemed way to confident and kind to be scared off by Samara. Especially if Samara is kind to him at first sight.

She would apologize for being rude by not letting him answer her previous question but she was dying to know why he was out here alone. He certainly shouldn't be a loner at this age. He still seemed pretty young. "Forgive me for not letting you answer my question before, but I am curious as to why you're out here alone." She said as politely as she could. Her ears flicked as she paid her full attention on the male, since she doesn't see many others out here a lot. Being a loner can be okay but it definitely gets lonely. She has been thinking about trying to join a pack soon. Maybe that will help her social standards and how lonely she feels.

OOC here!

The large black and silver wolf kept his smile. His lips drawing back even further when he discovered that he hadn’t been the only one with a passion for watching the sun as it made its dailey journey across the sky. He took a step closer, bobbing his head in agreement to her comment about them. Silver eyes turned outward, toward the east where the fiery golden ball was slowly ascending above the eastern half, casting away the long shadow of twilight that had held the land within her soft embrace.

The question caught him a bit off guard, the yearling tilted his head to the side, his mouth opening before clicking closed as he thought about it. “Well ma’am, I always try to catch the sunrise when ever I can, everyone else is asleep right now and it’s been awhile since the last time I came up so high.” He paused, reasoning that at the time, he had been little more than a pup, albit on the evry edge of childhood,and by that point, he had been roaming by himself for months. It brought up old memories, some a bit uncomfortable, ones he didn’t really want to deal with right now. He gave himself a good shake to try and dislodge the discomfort, “I was wondering if it’d look the same as last time, but it’s a lot prettier now with the spring’s arrival.”
