She was so bored. Her mother had made it very clear that she wasn’t allowed to go anywhere that couldn’t be seen from the den because of her and Leith’s last transgression… she still defended it was Leith’s fault – they could have just walked away, but then he started to yell at them and they had attack and mama and papa and their brother had to come and rescue them. She understood he punishment, even accepted it, but she just needed to stretch her paws… maybe she could get papa to take her out on a walk later – surely she could go farther if she had an adult with her, right?

She rolled onto her back, her paws sticking straight up in the air as she huffed. She wanted to go to the river, cool off… it was just so hot out. It felt super sticky and uncomfortable! She didn’t think it had ever felt like this before… She groaned as she rolled back on her paws, chewing on a stick she’d found in the area. Was this what she had become? A stick-chewer? She had no idea how Legolas had become this content with staying this close to the den. She didn't like being punished, but she also didn't like some of the rules her parents had about where they were allowed to go.
