and i will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are evil. - Kyna - Aug 30, 2018 [dohtml] Sometimes the things you wanted the most were not the things you needed. Aurora Heights was everything Kyna had ever wished for, but once achieved, had left her in a strange state. She wouldn’t call it purgatory, but… It was similar. A shame kept her from bringing it up before, but she should have known – Greer’s heart was never different from her own, not when it really mattered. And so Kyna Argyris, Greer Archer, their children, and the faithful wolves they’d gathered over the past several seasons, were going to depart from Riddle Heights for a time. How long? She was not sure. If nothing else, the travel would be a good experience for their brood. Kyna gave one last look at the mountain, her heart clenching. But she had to go now. Her eyes burned a bit and she broke into a trot. “This way, everyone. There’s plenty left to see.” Exit. Resources by freepik.com, table by Kydnt [/dohtml]Aurora Heights is disbanding. Kyna, Greer, and the pack are leaving Relic Lore. This thread is for anyone else who wants to post a last goodbye.
RE: and i say, do not weep, for not all tears are evil. - Vindlys - Aug 30, 2018 Kyna may have found the event very sad, but Vindlys only saw an excellent adventure in front of his paws. Yes, Aurora Heights was their home, but he was going, and his parents, and his siblings. And even the pack! It was like one giant adventure, with everyone, and how could he really be sad with all of this? Perhaps later, when he could reflect on it a bit more, his mother’s sadness would haunt him – but today he grabbed at Capra’s ear before racing after his fiery red dam, determined not to be the last one in this race to freedom. RE: and i will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are evil. - Pyriel - Aug 30, 2018 [dohtml] The moment could have been sad for him, he expected it was a whole lot more sad for Kyna and Greer. For Pyriel it wasn't the first time he'd left behind a home and he didn't know if it would be the last. There was a lot he didn't know about what the future held. Still this was a decision he made, to go with them and find a new place to settle for awhile. What was left in the lore for him anyway? It was time he moved on with the wolves he'd been loyal to for a year now. In a way he supposed he was looking forward to this move. Maybe it would even bring him some relief for his shoulder, maybe not, he would find out in the end. When it was time for them to look upon their mountain home for the last time Pyriel only paused for a moment. He gave a dip of his head in silent farewell before turning and joining the former heights queen as she started her path out of the lore. Pyriel Exit [/dohtml]
RE: and i will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are evil. - Greer - Aug 31, 2018 [dohtml] His paws were still weary from travelling west to notify his family but the journey was far from over. The Argyris Archer clan was embarking on their next adventure. Leaving the Heights behind—everything he and his mate had worked so hard to built—left a bitter taste in his mouth, but he knew that there was so much more for them beyond the mountain. Greer had spent most of his life travelling the lands of Lore. Growing familiar with the different terrain and adding territory after territory to his never-ending mental map. But there was still more to see. Another chapter in the Argyris Archer story was ready to be written. He was relieved that Revon, along with their trio of loyal packmates, had decided to join them. If the three subordinates decided to leave them along the way so be it, but for now Greer was thankful for their unwavering loyalty. He had expected Revon the remain, at least for awhile, to forge her own path in the Lore, but he understood why she was coming along. She wanted to be there for her brothers. Her parents. She was still young—there would be plenty of time for her to write her own pages. The shadow sidled up next to his mate silently, his mercury gaze lingering on her russet features as he mirrored her own expression. It hurt him, too, to leave the Heights behind. But part of him always knew this day would come. There was still so much more that the power couple had to conquer. Aurora was just the beginning. He pressed a quick lick to her cheek before she trotted forward, his long legs quickly falling into step with hers as they began their trek south—away from the mountain that had been their home for the past year…Exit. RE: and i will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are evil. - Revon - Aug 31, 2018 [dohtml] She did not know if she was ready to leave the Lore. She had not yet explored the vast majority of the territory—especially the north, where her father had lived before settling in the mountain with her mother—but she did not want to leave her family. Not yet. Although the others were accompanying them on their journey Revon wanted to tag along, for the time being, to ensure her younger brothers did not drive her parents mental. The Borealis Boys were a handful and with days of travelling in their future Revon knew they were going to get into heaps of trouble. The Lore would always be there for her if she decided to return. There would still be plenty of territories to explore. But for now her family needed her and she needed them. As much as she liked to think she was independent and ready to take on the world Revon’s family would always be her first priority. She would follow them to the ends of the earth. Family would always be there for her, no matter what, and she would do everything in her power to keep them safe. Plus, she couldn’t let her brothers have all the fun. An adventure sounded just appealing to her as it did to them. She followed dutifully behind them before surpassing her parents to scout ahead. Although her parents were setting the course Revon wanted to ensure there were no threats in their path and that, hopefully, they would leave the abundance of coyotes behind them… |
