Downdraft - Sedna - Sep 11, 2018 RE: A sudden downburst has flattened several small trees and shrubs.
[dohtml]you rollin with us or you gettin' rolled over
To say the Pookastone pups were growing like weeds would be an understatement. Milk teeth had wobbled and long since been replaced with sturdier teeth, and puppy fluff had been traded for coarser, longer fur. Blue eyes had washed out with the rain, closer resembling the slate of the storm clouds that had occupied much of the young wolf's early days. It was no longer a stretch to reach her mother's chin or cheeks, a target that could now be hit with four paws planted firmly on the ground. Things looked a lot different from up here. Unseasonable heat had finally given way to more storm clouds. The oppressiveness of the heat was cut with bracing winds, stronger than the girl could remember in her lifetime. Strong enough to lean into without falling over. It ripped through her thickening coat, her eyes squinting against the gritty bits of dirt it carried along with it. Maybe if she was more knowledgable about the fickle nature of the wind she would have been prepared for the sudden change in direction, but she was young yet, so it was a surprise when brush and saplings toppled around her when the wind rose over her like a wave and instead pushed down in a microburst, strong enough to make the young wolf stumble. Something primal warned her to get somewhere safer... like this was just a taste of what was to come... the gloves are comin' off
[/dohtml] RE: Downdraft - Anduin - Sep 14, 2018 [dohtml] Perhaps the young boy had officially spent too much time with his dear sister Macha. She always told him stories. Tales of her Goddess and strange prophecies she'd seen in the water, mythical beasts and all sorts of weird stuff. Usually he'd brush it off as her just being crazy, not completely alright up there in that raven skull of hers. However the more she insisted that he was special, the more he heard that God's of all kinds favored him and how destined for greatness he was, the more he was actually pretty sure he could get behind all this Moon Mother Magick spell mumbo jumbo, and he might of even been starting to believe some of those weird stories. So to no surprise, when the winds began to grow strong, too strong one might even say, the first thought to pop into the chocolate pup's head was something along the lines of "Well, is this that weather Magick or did someone piss the Moon Mother off?" As he went seeking shelter, the slightly larger frame of Sedna appeared in his peripheral vision. "Huh." he murmured, trotting over to the fae. "Nice weather we're having." he said half-heartedly, not particularly caring for the girl but neither disliking her. Of all the other pups that inhabited the Scowle, she probably like Anduin next to the most after her brother. He didn't cower or flinch like the other two girls tended to, but much like her brother, he was more interested in thinking about things before doing them, while the girl would always charge headlong into danger without batting an eye. She considered herself invincible, and worry-wart thinkers ruined her fun, but as she grew, she was coming to realise that perhaps she needed an ally. One to run her plans past before she got herself killed. That hadn't been what she had been considering when the wind flattened the trees around her, but now that she had company, her mind had been diverted. She was all about living in the moment. "Almost feels like somethin's sayin' we should move along..." Her contemplative look morphed to a smirk. "All th' more reason ter stick around an' see what happens don'cha think?" She lifted her brow in a silent challenge that spoke of words that didn't leave her lips, Or are ya scared? they lead me to you
[/dohtml] RE: Downdraft - Anduin - Oct 15, 2018 [dohtml] Anduin's eyes widened ever so slightly as the fae spoke. 'Something's telling us to move along..? Has she been talking to Macha too?' It was a possibility after all, his older sister always seemed all too eager to hang out with the pups. He thought for a moment before responding to the young monochrome girl's question, the weather really was getting pretty bad. Would it be safe for them to linger around much longer? "..Meh." The chocolate dipped Archer shrugged. "If that's what you want to do I guess." If he really were touched by some deity, then there's no way he could die here right? Besides, if they ran for it they'd only be seeking cover some place else. Time to test Macha's little theory. This was all probably fine. [/dohtml] |
