There was no point in hanging around, Askan had very little interest in seeing how long they could hold the coyotes at bay. Instead he turned and with a flick of his tail he motioned for the loner to follow him. He debated for a moment where he would lead him, then quickly decided the land just outside of Shallows Edge would work just fine. Of course, he had no interest in letting the loner stomp all over his border, but they would be safe there and would be able to finish their conversation undisturbed. Probably.

With that, he lead the loner south, through the trees and away from their arrogant, lesser cousins.
