Ferreiran was hanging around the mountain for a bit longer than he usually would, but he didn't have anyplace else to be. If he was careful to avoid the pack borders (he could smell them on the wind), he'd be all good. The mountain had plenty of places to rest a night. That being said, it was cold if you climbed too high, so he stayed near the base of the peak. There it was relatively warm.
He was going to find some water, when he heard little footsteps behind him.
