Come out and play... - Zev - Oct 19, 2018

Since there has been a forest fire in the wild woods past as per it’s description, and the weather is based off of BC I’m going to assume the flora is too, and after a forest fire the Scarlet Globemallow grows only because of the fire. It’s seeds needing to be exposed to that kind of heat to germinate and as such it’s a a rare herb and Zev wants it :D I almost went with a Baker’s globe mallow but that grows in California after a fire and not BC.
This is after his meeting with pookastoone pack and I do believe he’s accepted though nothing has been made official yet

Even if he had a Pack Zev could never stay still for long, he traveled at length roaming every where, mostly looking for medicinal herbs or sacrifices at least he had a den to go home to and prepare his potions. And he’d gather information to give to the pack leader should it fall in his paws easily and he didn’t have to work to hard to find her.

Today the brute swung North East eventually finding himself in the Wildwood and following his nose toward rot and decay without realizing that was what he was doing, he found himself in a place where fire had once been and new life was taking root. Young trees were sprouting telling him the fire had been some time ago possibly even a year. Bones and the like would still be easy to find and plants with new and tender roots would be easier to pull. Zev chuckled darkly to himself, he loved fire he loved to watch it in all its destructive glory. Cleansing the land and taking it’s glory by itself.

Zev wandered aimlessly at first then he came across small red flowers and grinned, these beautiful rare little plants were just the thing he could use. It had so many uses and it was so rare. If he could he’d rub his paws together and laugh as it was he looked around for a way to gather and hold and most of the resource as he could.

His eyes scanned the immediate area until they fell on an odd lump HA! The brute in a playful mood since his discovery of the Scarlet GlobeMallow crouched his front end down, wiggled his raised rear and pounced, launching himself impressively a good 8 feet to the lump.

He dug carelessly and over turned a Moose skull the lack of antlers made it likely a female. Zev grabbed the skull and trotted around as triumphantly as it he had killed the moose himself. His ultimate goal of collecting the rare herb he had spotted forgotten for just a few moments in his pure joy of finding bones. He wanted more Bones too.

Daesamar Silverveil
There are only two ways to live your life: as though nothing is a miracle, or as though everything is a miracle.

Daesamar had come down from the mountain to explore the forest that rested at the western base now that things were starting to settle once more within the Tarn. The air was getting chilly and his coat thickened, it was all signs of the approaching winter. That was one worry in the back of the youth’s mind. @Cheedo was still leading strongly but it seemed like there really was little left for those that were left beside the pack’s home. At least with low numbers, it was much easier to feed everyone, but if any of them got hurt…The massive yearling gave his head a single shake. It wasn't even a thought worth worrying about. It’d only add more unneeded stress onto all of their shoulders.

Spotting a fallen log he licked his lips, he could use a good run and see something new. Maybe he’d come across something out here that could brighten his mood. A new spot to watch to sunrise and set was always fun to discover. The different perspectives fascinated the youth. He exhaled softly and stood still. Suddenly he bolted forward kicking up dirt and twigs as his stride lengthed before he leaped forward. He watched the log pass below him in a blur. He landed and stumbled briefly before recovering his balance.

He could feel his blood pumping and his heart racing and it was exhilarating, this is what it meant to really be alive instead of just living. Once the pleasure wore off he looked around and took in his surroundings. Winter had yet to take a full grip on the place and he could still see evidence of the greenery. The yearling let a soft groan escape and he started off at a leisurely pace along a random trail.

Turning the corner he paused freezing in shock at the sight before him. He had been hoping to see something new. He got exactly what he had wished for in the form of a strange icy blue-eyed wolf strutting around the clearing. The silver eyed youth took note of the skull that the stranger seemed to be very...eager to show off. He felt a chill run along his spin just watching the bizarre and nightmare-inducing sight Weighting his options and deciding that for once his curiosity wasn't worth it and he took a slow step back. He stepped on a dried branch and the snapping echo resonated all around the clearing. He grimaced and froze.

In his exuberance over his findings he had not been listening to the world around him a bear might have jaunted up upon him and he’d not know it. A twig snapping and the change in atmosphere finally snapped Zev to reality

His head snapped toward the sound and his eyes roved over the newcomer assessing the wolf, it was just a bit taller then himself, but not larger he looked younger too, perhaps untried in the ways of fighting, then again a wolf a large as it might not have to fight for it’s life often.

Zev grinned around the skull in his mouth and stared delightedly at the wolf. Of Course…. He had been given a rare herb and he had been given away to carry more of it then he might otherwise would not have been able to and now he was given a wolf. Of course the gods would want recompense for their gifts. Now to see if this wolf would willingly sacrifice it’s blood or would he need to take it. Either way would work fine for Zev he did not care what he had to do to please gods he just had to serve them.

Carefully Zev placed the skull down and placed a paw upon it. "What brings you here, my friend?" Zev spoke silkily his smile did not quite reach his eyes. Zev muscles tightened though not visibly so, he was just readying himself to jump into the other males path should it decide to run

RE: Come out and play... - Daesamar - Oct 23, 2018

Mildly freaked out was the nicest way that Daesamar could put into words exactly how he was feeling. Staying stock still he watched as the other wolf turned his attention onto him. Under that icy blue gaze, he felt like a piece of cornered prey. He didn’t know what was going on behind those eyes and he got the feeling that he really didn’t want to find out either. The stranger laid the skull aside and spoke. Daesamar shallowed when he saw his smile, he knew what would be keeping him up for the next couple of nights now.

“Um….sorry sir, I didn’t mean to disturb you and you er..” Mistress? Toy? The heck could he say to address the skull that had been toted around like a prize just moments ago. “Companion, I’ll just go if you like, Sorry if I intruded onto something private.”

The Brute watched the other wolf with curiosity, why did the gods want this one? What was so special about it…. His nares flared, as he tasted the air, catching more information, Him… his eye’s narrowed slightly as the male spoke stiltingly

The wolf called him ‘Sir’, deferring to him and that slid over his psyche and made something inside him glow with something akin to pride if he had any pride. His pelt though quite thick was dirty with tufts of hair threatening to fall out all over the place.

The other wolf spoke about leaving and that would just not do, because his muscles were tensed under his thick shabby pelt, Zev launched himself quickly getting himself between the wolf and the way it had come, then turned to face him with a smile that was in it’s attempt to be pleasant but likely far from it.

Companion… is that what skulls were called now-a-days, Zev didn’t mind, his den would be decorated with many skulls, perhaps they were companions of a sort. Zev licked his lips and spoke almost huskily his words had a haunting accent to them but not something a local would be able to place a paw on, indeed his native tongue was the haunting and melodic tones of Nahuatl “You didn’t disturb me, in fact you arrived just in time, if you could lend some help”

Zev closed the distance between them as if he didn’t understand personal space and indeed he really doesn’t quite get ‘personal space’ even though most gave him a wide birth however he had not rolled in anything particularly smelly lately so his odor was not so bad then one needed to run from him to save their nares. He wished @Rosalin was here he could use her help coaxing this wolf to give up it’s life blood.

RE: Come out and play... - Rosalin - Oct 31, 2018

Hope its okay with yall to toss her in here :)

Who knows what brought the Kingsley woman back to the lore. Curiosity? Glutton for punishment? There were so many reasons that it could be but Rosalin didnt know what. A girl was left behind in Oak Tree Bend and after what seemed like eternity Zev's influences wore off and it was clear he wasnt coming back. So she left with out a trace and headed back home. The experiences with the brute were suppressed, it was easier to bury it than face it, and being home made it easier to do so. Truth is she hadn't set out to travel to the lore, her paws naturally drifted in its direction.

At first the princess didnt even know she had returned to the lore. Shortly though familiar sights sparked her memory. It wasnt enough though to resurface the traumatic effects of her time here. So she walked peacefully through the vast, ever changing landscape. Her frame no longer lanky but pretty close to perfectly proportionate. Her coat beginning to lose more of its reddish tones being replaced with more creams in anticipation for the upcoming winter.

Emerald orbs looked over the charred landscape as a small smile pulled at her inky lips as her luscious tail flicked behind her. There was something beautiful about fire. The brilliant colors it possessed, the power it held, but also how it brought about new life and new beginnings. Her mission had once again to learn how to delegate for her pack. Something the woman wasnt too keen about seeing as she had already went on this type of mission. But if this is what it took to rise to power, so be it.

Cream paws walked easily amongst the new life up a small hill. She stopped to take a deep breath when his unmistakable voice reached her ears. She froze her hackles raised and that was enough have the memories flash before her eyes. There was something about his power that drew the Kingsley in. Having enough time pass without his influence the rest of the terrifying events became known to her and Rosie was not the biggest fan. So her gaze quickly scanned her surroundings until she spotted Zev's large frame standing in front of another. The other seemed younger and not the most comfortable. She hunkered down trying to become invisible. Why she didnt just turn tail and leave was yet another thing she didnt know. Again, curiosity? Or glutton for punishment?

There are only two ways to live your life: as though nothing is a miracle, or as though everything is a miracle.

The closer the icy blue-eyed wolf came, the further back Daesamar moved. He didn’t take his eyes off the figure. The young wolf gulped and swallowed back a fearful whine that threated spill out of his throat. He could feel in an inner conflict between his instincts telling him to run and the man asking him for help. His mother had always told him to help someone out as best that he could, and even though he was sure he’d remember those eyes and that skull whenever he closed his eyes for nights to come. He should at least see what it was that Zev needed help with..

He took a step to the side to put some room between them and he looked at the wolf “Sorry, I just...I’m not that comfortable being that close to someone alright? Maybe I can help, but it really depends on what it is you need. My pack will be missing me if I don’t return soon.” The yearling was obvious to their silent watcher, his silver gaze darting around to try and find a clear path in case he did need to run.

RE: Come out and play... - Zev - Nov 04, 2018

Zev smiled and took just one more stop forward before seeming to relax, though he prepped his body to spring, He watched the male uncomfort grow which was most wolves normal reaction to him so he was not bothered by it. His eyes slid past the male to the barest of movements and he thought he saw Rosalin for to briefest moment but then he had been wishing for her so hard it just may be his imagination.

He watched the male look for an escape route which would likely bring him right over top of the hidden figure; since Zev was now between him and his original direction and there were trees about, albeit burnt, half broken ones.

Zev’s voice was soft and smooth it’s rich timbre almost hypnotic, He spoke softly encouraging the other wolf to stop and listen to his words I just need some blood, he cooed very more softly The gods need honoring. Blood is the way to serve the gods He shifted forward just a little and settled his weight onto his haunches not uncomfortably so but in a way that made him appear larger and yet gave him the vantage to spring.

His eyes slid to the spot went Rosalin might have been if he were right, but he could not quiet see her and this irritated him. But his gaze quickly snapped back to the young male before him, using his rich timbre You could help me with this, You could help me to serve the gods, the gods need honoring. Zev waited for the males reaction, a willing blood sacrifice would be much easier to work with then an unwilling one. The unwilling ones almost always died, the willing ones were much easier to save. He did not need to kill to serve the gods, quite the contrary actually, but he did enjoy the kill too, when necessary.

RE: Come out and play... - Rosalin - Nov 08, 2018

Emerald orbs dared peaked over the hill only to see Zev turn her way and she ducked back down her hackles prickling. His voiced reached her ears as he spoke to the yearling. He said he needed an offering for the gods and Rosie knew exactly what that meant. She wasnt a noble wolf by any means, she wouldn't step up to save the boy and offer herself. No she would sit and hide to save her own hide. That is if she could...Zev had a way of finding her. The blonde woman would sit and listen and try her best to blend in, her golden coat though wasnt the best camouflage in the snow.
