Lemons to apples - Chenoa - Oct 22, 2018

RE: You've found a crop of apples, but they're floating in a nearby pond! Can you bob them all out?

The soft fluttering of a butterfly touched her ears, and bright blue eyes swung to find it. The motion almost caused a collision as it flew past her head, just barely avoiding the inky tip of her nose. A giggle poured out from child's throat as she stood to follow it. Where did butterflies live?

Further and further she descended, so intent on chasing the creature that she didn't realize just how far she'd gone. Chenoa didn't scale the heights very often. Maybe she was simply content with the mountain kingdom, or maybe her tepid nature had kept her there, locked away like some princess in a tower she'd built herself. Either way, when the butterfly finally came to rest upon an enormous tree, she was very much out of her element.

Hesitantly, the lake bird looked around, suddenly noticing just how dark it had gotten. Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no. Okay. It was fine. She'd find a place to sleep, and then she would head back in the morning. In her search to find a nice overhang, or tree-nook, the sound of water touched her ears. Thinking that a drink might be alright, the girl came to a pond. It had likely formed as an overflow to the river. What really caught her attention, were the ripe, red apples bobbing against the gentle current. Inching closer, Chenoa thought she might fish one out.

RE: Lemons to apples - Nauja - Oct 30, 2018

Now that the coyotes were gone it was a little safer to leave the territory. If Nauja were honest she needed to stretch her legs a bit. She couldn't think of a better way to do that then to get to know the forest around the draw a little better. Since it hadn't been safe before and she needed to stay safe for her son she hadn't had the chance. Now that Zale was almost six months old he would be fine if she left for a few hours to explore a little.

Most of her day had been spent wandering around the Wildwood but as Afternoon came on she found herself in Sacred Grove. Some of it looked familiar but it had been so long since she'd done any real traveling she couldn't be sure. She also took into account how forests changed from year to year so she looked at it all as if she were looking upon it for the first time.

As it became later in the day she caught the scent of water and it was close by. Smelling it reminded her that she hadn't had anything to drink since earlier in the day. Following the scent she came to a little pond that would do nicely. Thinking she was alone in the forest she stopped when she caught sight of the black pup that reminded her a little of her own son. Nauja also noticed the apples floating in the water, “Well it seems you've found yourself a rare snack,” she said as she approached slowly not wanting to scare the girl off.

She hadn't noticed the stranger approaching until her voice came, shooing away the silence with every unexpected syllable. Startled, Chenoa's bright eyes flickered briefly from the apples, to the woman's form, and back. Dark ears responded to the unknown presence by pinning themselves against smooth surface of her skull, in hopes that she might make herself look smaller. To the youth, it didn't matter that they were in neutral territory. She would err on the side of caution regardless.

"O.. oh yeah. I.. I mean they're not mine. If you wanted them, I mean." While they certainly looked delicious, they weren't worth fighting over, so if the woman wanted them, Noah would give them up in a heartbeat.

RE: Lemons to apples - Nauja - Nov 17, 2018

Nauja watched the girl as she approached the edge of the water. It was clear that she hadn't yet been noticed which gave her a moment to look over the girl. She seemed well taken care of but much too young to be off on her own in the sea wolf's opinion. As it was she was there having going herself a bunch of apples floating in the water.

“Don't worry child. I'm not here to take them from you but of you like maybe we could work together to get some of them out?” Nauja also considered that her son and lover wouldn't mind having one each but she thought she she'd bring that up once she heard what the girls thoughts were. “I'm Nauja from Charred Ash Draw,” she introduced herself thinking it might ease the youngster.
