Into the Caves - Freyja - Oct 31, 2018

Halloween RE: While out at dusk, you stir up a colony of bats--it's a complete swarm! Open to anyone.

Freyja Mizuno Archer was at it again. She had once more, snuck away from the Willows in search of something to satisfy her curiosity. While she would never be quite as adventurous or drifty as her twin, there was a reason behind her method. She sought to learn all she could, to accumulate more and more to add to her own knowledge. There was a world beyond the Willow trees of her home and she wanted to know of it. Maybe even see it.

Unbeknownst to her, as her growing legs carried her through the sprawling meadow and ever closer towards a vast underground cave system, was she walking on the very same soil as her mother and father had before her. That the jagged mouth of the cave looming ahead had once served as a den to one of the most well known packs in the Lore. It was long gone, as were any traces of fur, caches or paw prints to tell of the wolves who called this place home once. Now, as she took her first cautious steps into the looming dark depths, with stalagmites jutting from the bottom and stalactites from the ceiling, it was home to an animal of a much different variety. Something shifted in the darkness, accompanied by a rustling. And then all hell broke loose. Pale blue eyes went wide as a swarm of blackish brown, rodent like creatures with wings flew towards her en mass all at once. With a startled yelp of surprise as the swarm headed for her, she turned round to flee. She tripped over a tall stalagmite, landing with thud, bumping her chin. The mass was overhead of her now, flooding towards the exit. All she could think to do was to lay where she was, keep still and hope they didn't divebomb her.
