Night, full moon Clear — Current Temperature: 43° F/6° C
Finally, Nyx had been tracking her brother for almost a full year now and his scent had grown stronger since she entered Relic Lore. His scent seemed to be everywhere in this god forsaken marsh. While most wolves found beauty in her current surroundings, with the snow almost completely gone and the full moon reflecting off of the smooth water, Nyx found nothing special to it. She saw no point in beauty. In her mind there was strength and power, nothing else.
She happened to pick up another scent mixed with her brothers, a female's. She knew he had Kama and that she had survived but it was clear that the scent was not Kama's but another wolf's. Her dear older brother had been busy, the female was in heat. Nyx laughed at the thought of Thanatos having pups. He babied pups like no other, and if he had his own the sight would surely disgust the black bitch. She hated pups, annoying little creatures always begging for attention or food or something. She hoped she would never have to worry about the little nuisances. But then again, if she led a pack at some point she would need to pass on her bloodline. Perhaps she could train them to be assassins just as her father had done with her.
So her brother had joined a new pack. Interesting. Nyx decided she would have to join this pack as well. She could surprise her brother who likely assumed she was dead. If he had any thought she was still alive, he would more than likely tell his leader about her and warn them. She would have to go by another name just in case. Why not the feminine form of her brothers name? Yes, Thana would work just fine. She found it ironic that her father had named him Thanatos, meaning death, and he ended up being more of a saint than a dealer of death like her. She should have been given the honor of having the name. Instead she was given Nyx, or night. She supposed it fit well enough but she would have preferred Thana, for she was, and had been since she was a yearling, an assassin.
