A game of Marco Polo - Neo - Jan 31, 2021

Neo had been hesitant to leave the orchard after hearing more of Vinnie's story. He didn't like leaving her alone knowing that anyone from her family could and likely would kill her if they found her. But the orchard smelled of wolves and not just them staying was become a gamble. If a pack was slowly forming staying around could become dangerous.

The marbled wolf sighed as he stretched his neck feeling the tension build there slowly fade. Maybe finding a pack wasn't a bad idea... if he couldn't find Nia soon a pack would ensure Vinnie's safety and his. But the Hervok didn't wanna give up on his sister just yet. So far he hadn't even started looking, today was the first day he actually gone into the fields to actively search for her and not just hunt and scout. He'd told Vinnie about his plan to howl and see who answered. With any luck, it would be his sister and not some lunatic.

Neo knew where he was heading as he walked in his own thoughts his pale yet sturdy limbs carrying him towards the lone hill. He didn't know its name but assumed a waypoint like it had one. Maybe it was just called lone hill or lone tree. He didn't know guess it didn't really matter. The layer of snow and ice that had covered the grasslands since the beginning of winter colored the world white and empty. He'd be able to spot approaching wolves from miles away when he reached the top... At least he hoped so. The climb was slow but mainly because he was looking around trying to recognize old waypoints despite the powder-covered world. He didn't really see anything he knew despite his efforts but he guessed that was why he'd come up with this plan in the first place.

When Neo finally stood at the top of the hill he sighed looking around eyes slowly trailing over the land around him. By his side, the lone tree stood tall and naked. It would likely look weary regal when the crown regrew in spring. Like a monarch watching over their kingdom. Neo smiled at the thought, Monarchs hill sounded nice...

With his mood somewhat lifted he tilted his head back and allowed a long howl to echo from his lips. It didn't carry any other message than to inform them he was there. As his call died down he lowered his head and looked around wondering if anyone would answer him. At the moment it appeared that only time would tell.

RE: A game of Marco Polo - Nia - Feb 06, 2021

OOC: This is short, I'm trying to ease back into writing after a lot of stressors.

The Winter Dame had been doing a lot of traveling as of late. Whether it be searching for food or potential pack mates, she was out and about and on it. Caring for her mother was also extremely important and she did what she could, but trying to rise up a pack from the past wasn't easy. Not to mention she had no herbs to ease the chaotic mind of an aging woman. She found herself wondering more often then not why she was bringing Secret Woodlands back. Especially after her conversation with @Flair. Her mother needed the security of a pack, but why this one? She never knew it and understood the love Danica held for it...but it was foreign to her. She could hear the fiery woman's words echoing in her head again, make it your own.

The crunching sound of snow beneath her paws was silenced by a ghostly call. The woman stood stalk still with narrowed eyes, her tail lifting up. She scanned the area as a tickle of familiarity echoed in the back of her mind. Her brows furrowed suspiciously. Who were they? Why were they so close? Nia moved forward with tense muscles, trotting towards the source.

As she neared lunar hill she stopped to let out her own call, demanding an audience, then waited.

Neo waited listening and for a moment thought no one would answer him as silence hang in the air. Then a howl ripped through the silence echoing from the fields. The Hervok didn't recognize the tunes that entered his ears not could he see the wolf who called back to him. one thing he knew though was that the voice sounded feminine. Could he really have found her already? Or was this just a rough looking for company? The tones of the answering howl were demanding and steady whoever was out there they wanted to meet.

Neo tipped back his head and howled again answering the wolf. He was coming he would find them just stay where you are. And so he set off a light trot to his motions as he headed downhill almost losing his footing in the slippery snow.

Moving ahead he didn't see the pale figure for a while the marbled blond coat blending her into the pale white snow-dusted world. But when he did see her his heart skipped a beat before adrenaline started to pump into his veins. That looked like her, the pale fur and large stature. It had to be... Slowing down as to not run towards someone who could be or couldn't be his sister he howled again before calling out "Nia?"
