Hello, Hello? - Hrun - Feb 17, 2021

Hrun forcefully nudged around the frozen deadthing, trying to see if there were any scraps to munch on. Its skull, covered in frost and what was left of the skin, rolled off to the side. He continued to shove bones in every which direction, every few bones or so he’d stop and gnaw on one for a moment, but get bored and continue picking apart the carcass. It had been some sort of cervid, but whatever it was wasn’t what Hrun was interested in. After he’d made a perfectly good mess in the snow, the dark wolf padded to the skull and began to poke and prod at that. He was silent in his endeavor, but also swift and oddly vicious.

Hello.

Hrun jumped ten feet into the air, his fur bristling and teeth bared as he went to face the stranger. But… but no one was there? He turned around, his golden gaze looking this way and that. No wolf. He turned around again, and did the same once again, and then again. He had been certain he’d looked every way, and unless this wolf was invisible, there were no wolves to be seen, nor smelt. “Hello?” he finally said, the uncertainty clear in his voice.

Hello.

Hrun whipped around again, lips curled back and ready to bite at whoever was playing with him. Again, no one. The shock was clear on his face as his sniffer began to wiggle. “Hello!” he shouted, angry. Ears perked forward, Hrun’s eyes frantically looking from left to right. “Hello!?” he shouted again, louder, angrier.

RE: Hello, Hello? - Saga - Feb 20, 2021

[DOHTML]

The herds had chosen what Saga would have called the worst place to hunker down. The plains offered absolutely no respite from the biting wind, and gods damn it, she was sick and tired of being cold. Making it her personal mission to find some shelter the woman had taken to scouring the territory for anything that might offer some cover. Even a thick bush would do at this point, but alas, luck was not on her side. It was on one of these 'missions' that she came across Hrun's scent, which she might have passed by if not for the way he shouted, "Hello!?". Concern laced Saga's features as she turned towards Hrun's voice. From what she could smell, he was alone... but her nose had failed her before.

She chuffed a greeting as his dark form came into view. "Everything alright?" For all intents and purposes, the man definitely seemed to be alone. So who had he been talking to? Surely not the frozen, picked-over carcass that lay at his paws?
