swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen - Xulia - Mar 14, 2021 Southern Wildwood, midday, 3/13/21
@Vareth<3 Xulia had never experienced a feeling like this before. Every inch of her body was burning hot, prickling under her fur. She'd known that it would happen, of course, eventually, but... well, she hadn't really known to expect it this year. All she really knew was that she didn't want to be surrounded by her pack mates right now - she'd rather be on her own. So, she'd decided to go out for a walk. And that walk had taken her a decent distance from her family's pack - into dense woods that were just starting to green up with the encroaching spring. It was a nice day, actually, with birdsong and soft sunlight filtering in through budding branches. The cool air helped soothe some of the heat burning in her veins, but it didn't take it all away. Running the risk of looking foolish, Xules rolled over in the snow, hoping that that would cool her down. The powdery substance helped ease some of the burn, and she relaxed, pausing on her back for a moment before rolling back to her front and resting her head on her paws. This was all so confusing - this whole week, actually. Being with her family was wonderful, but her lack of leadership - of a role, in general - was beginning to make her feel obsolete. And now these horrible physical feelings that would lead to things she'd never even thought of before? Yeah, she was having a hard time right now. She shook her head hard, trying to clear it. Xules had always leaned on the side of logic above all, but that was becoming increasingly hard to focus on, right now. |
