RE: Not That Girl - Stella - Aug 30, 2021 @Flair Stella could catch up to Flair or not, I just wanted to make this post :)
Stella had fallen asleep in a particularly nice sunny patch of grass, just outside the main den, but she was really only napping out of boredom. As the sun slid by in the sky, drifting away slightly, she felt herself waking, and eventually opened her eyes. The days had grown a touch cooler as of late. She missed the warm embrace of the light, but the thought was fleeting as the girl took notice of one of the other pack members, and pushed herself up into a sitting position, her interest piqued. The small girl was more and more fascinated with the comings and goings of the rest of the pack, beginning to perceive the complexities of their interactions, see the hints of the social structures that would become her future. Some would stay nearby and watch over the pups, or chat with her parents within earshot of certain curious children, but there were others who came and went who she saw less often, but found no less interesting. If anything, it was those like the red-pelted huntress she saw now, who sparked a sense of awe and mysteriousness in the young girl. She found herself wanting to follow in the other's footsteps for a time being, and so she rose and trotted off after the woman, trying see which way she had gone. RE: Not That Girl - Stella - Sep 15, 2021 <3 @Flair
Stella could no longer see the red glint of fur ahead, but she could still hear the woman she was following, though she was moving swiftly compared to the young girl's pace. Hurrying after, she wasn't sure whether to sneak along or show herself... would she get in trouble with her parents for sneaking away? But it wasn't in her budding nature to hesitate or think twice for too long, and she followed as quickly as she could manage, darkened ears perking forward to try and catch the sound of footfalls ahead again. Some things were worth doing, even getting in a little trouble for, just to do them. She thought she'd lost the sound again, but then her eye caught the glint of red fur... and Stella realized that she'd been spotted. Oh. For a moment all she could manage was a sheepish smile, until Flair's greeting banished her fears. So, it didn't seem like she was in trouble, at least just yet, and for now that was all that really mattered. Stepping forward, then leaping and bounding, she brought herself to a stop just in time to manage not to collide into the woman or look too silly and childish. At least she hoped so. "Hi!" she echoed back excitedly, tail swaying in anticipation. "Whatcha doing?" Her curiosity had definitely gotten the better of her, and any sense of awkwardness from Flair went totally over the girl's head - she was simply excited to have worked up the courage to follow and talk to one of the more mysterious members of their pack. RE: Not That Girl - Stella - Sep 30, 2021 It seemed that her Stella's new babysitter - friend, perhaps? - did not quite know what to make of the small, excitable hanger-on that had been acquired. This fact had little effect on Stella's exuberance, if it dawned on her at all, it was only to add fuel to the curiosity that had been sparked. She only hoped she wouldn't be told off or sent back to the den. In truth, she was a growing child, and the confines of her world were in need of regular pushing. Meeting the members of the pack, learning of their duties, exploring further and further, these things might seem mundane to the adults, but little Stella had a burning drive to learn every new thing that she could, and all at a dizzying pace. All of it was so shiny and exhilarating! Bright gold eyes watched as the she-wolf's sharp paw gestured toward the water, then glinted back to the woman. Her ears tipped up to catch the question, a very responsible and adult type of question for sure, but she was ready. "Well, you're here," Stella giggled. "So, nope, not alone!" She didn't think this lady would give her a lecture about being alone, but it was better to avoid it altogether if she could. Her thoughts turned back to curiosity and questions. "Whatcha doin' next?" She asked, hoping to change the subject to something besides he being out here where she probably shouldn't be. RE: Not That Girl - Flair - Oct 25, 2021 [dohtml]
RE: Not That Girl - Stella - Oct 27, 2021 The girl had let her hopes soar away with her, as she was often wont to do, and it was a hope that felt small now, but it was still bright. The prospect of a hunting trip seemed like the most exciting thing imaginable. Of course the fiery lady would be disappointed not to be able to go, and Stella could feel the realization stealing over her like a cold fog. The hope glimmered, threatening to be obscured. She would rather go back to the den, maybe play with her brothers or find someone else, some chore more befitting her level of experience, if her presence would prevent Flair from actually carrying out her duties. As carefree as the girl was, she could understand that at least. "Oh, please, can I come too?" Stella's voice fell off into a hushed whisper. The girl was willing to take no for an answer at last, but would clearly still be a bit crushed. But then her ears snapped up, sensing a change in Flair's expression, and Stella's small tail began to wag with exuberance, her front paws doing a quick shuffling dance. "Really, you mean it?" she beamed joyfully at the she-wolf, cocking her head in return. "I'll listen to everything you say, and do my best, I promise!" she couldn't keep herself from exclaiming.
