one of a kind - Eros - Jan 09, 2022

Eros, a shooting star flies overhead and you're left with the following prompt: An aurora arcs across the sky, more active than ever. It appears to ebb away before bursting back into existence, like a firework celebration just for Relic Lore.
All welcome!

As Eros steadily began to outgrow his frequent napping, he found himself taking after his nocturnal parents, much as his closest sibling had. Security was once more a feature of his life as the turmoil of the last few months showed him that while hits would be taken, life continued on and the Valle pack was strong. One way or another, they'd come out on top.

Being such, he was finally taking full advantage of the loosening of their metaphorical leashes and exploring the forests around his Backwater home.

For the moment, while he prowled the thickly-grown Cedarwood Forest, he remained oblivious to the phenomenon brewing so far above his head. It had yet to grow strong enough to paint the world below with it's vivid colors.

The Valle woman once again found herself away from the Backwater. It was a scouting trip this time, she hoped that she might find something if interest whether it would be to her pack or herself. She supposed she would figure that out nice she found it. Unfortunately her mission had taken her most of the day so she now found herself wandering about as the sun was setting. The sky had grown dark.

It was due to this that she was debating returning home or just finding shelter for the night. She doubted there would be much care taken if she didn't return until the following day. It finally was decided that she would find a shelter. During her search she came across a familiar scent. Eros, she followed it until his figure came I to view, "What are you doing out here so late and so far from home?" She asked as she caught up with him.

You've come across an unattended nest full of eggs, do you like them scarmbled or fired? +5 Health

He didn't expect to hear someone else's voice, and with the words spoken, Eros couldn't be sure if he was in trouble or not. For some reason, even though he was really certain he hadn't been doing anything wrong, he felt like he'd been caught. His cheeks flushed and the skin on his neck crawled while he turned around to face his aunt.

"... Dad said we could," he told her with a healthy measure of certainty, but his ears were flattening and his pupils were dodging back and forth like he was a caught hare.

Sharlee was glad that she'd found her nephew even if he was out so far from hom. She thought it would he a good time to spend some time with him since that wasn't something they'd really ever done. When she found him he looked like he'd gotten caught digging up the cache after being told not to. She couldn't help the smile that crossed her features. [B)"I know Eros, just not sure being out this late was what he meant."[/b)

Even still she went and gently bumped his cheek with her muzzle. "But since we're out here and you are with an adult I think we will be safe in staying out for a while. Was there something you had in mind to do?" She asked wondering if he was just out to be out or if he had a mission he was on.

She didn't scold him, which gave him the courage to also add, "but mama and dad always go out at night."

If the young parents had thought their moonlit absences from the territory had gone unnoticed by their children, they would be wrong. Still, it left him wonder, was there something about that which only adults could take on? Was the night extra dangerous or something? He liked it better, felt more awake, but he'd been wrong about things plenty of times before... and the older Valles always seemed to know better.

"I was just expl-" something caught his eye, a glimmer up in the canopy. Eros tilted back his head as he spoke to see what it was, and was awestruck by what he spied in the sky above.

It was practically exploding with color! Aurora's weren't new the child, they'd been particularly active this cold Winter, but he'd never seen anything like this. Not even close!

"Woooaaaah!"
