She'd found a nice little rock while laying outside the den that morning. Kateri had become rather bored so she'd occupied herself by digging at the snow in front of her. At least that was what she'd been doing until she found her little rock.. she wondered why she'd never seen it before. Then she realized she'd never hung around the den this much before she'd gotten lost. All of that didn't matter now since this it seemed was her new life. The girl was starting to think her leg would never get better.
With a sigh she rose to her three good paws and took the rock into her jaws. She threw it into the air and tracked it to where it fell. Once it hit the ground she went to get it before returning to the den to do it again. This lasted a little while until she got tired of the tossing and going to get it.
That was when she remained next to the den playing with the rock in her mouth. Rolling into her back she rolled around in the snow moving the rock around in her mouth and listening to the sound that it made.
