the reynold's pamphlet - Scully - Mar 20, 2022
for @Amondi only.
Scully prowled the forests, thoroughly decided that now that Avella'd had her fun, he was due his. This had to be his least fruitful Spring of any since hitting puberty, and he was deeply disappointed by that. How did he know this wouldn't be the last of his freedom, in these waning weeks? The forest was slowly coming back to life around him, but he did not find the warm weather alluring at the time. His focus was on the trail of pheromones in the air and finding their source. He pushed through brush and crossed over great thick tree roots, following after the tantalizing scent. When her thinly masked features came into view, he smiled devilishly. A soft bark announced his presence, and requested her company. RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Amondi - Mar 28, 2022 [dohtml] Almost every year when the spring came, she was in the presence of family or her mate and never truly had to be alone when her heat came. But now having been alone for months after losing her husband, the last person she had left of the family she was used to, the loneliness was eating her alive. She needed comfort and the touch of another after being used to such a luxury for years, it was like having withdrawals when she now had nobody but herself. This time her heat was more intense than ever, but the nightmare of what happened to her last year kept flashing through her mind as she tried to cure her fire against the tree trunks. Though, she was no fool for that was only a temporary fix and Amondi knew there was only one thing to cure her heat. And just as those thoughts trickled into her mind, the musky cologne of the male that had been trailing her found her as she turned her masked features towards him to regard him with dandelion eyes. Though he requested her company, the Valle kept herself planted where she was as she was already too close to the line to which she vowed she'd never cross when she pledged herself to @Rochus. But she was so lonely... RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Scully - Mar 28, 2022 Scully slowed to a stop in order to wait a moment, his tail wagging behind him in a way he hoped made him appear friendly. He certainly was excited, especially as she fixed him with those desperately restrained eyes. Minutes passed, and then he began to creep forward. Every step was tentatively taken, his silver eyes pointedly fixed right on her golden counterparts. Like the sun and the moon, some might say. "Are you alright?" he asked her once merely a yard away. What would it take to get in her good graces? Her domestic features reminded him of Clover's... and spoke of naivety. RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Amondi - Mar 28, 2022 [dohtml] His blended black and silver coat was contradictory compared to her light tawny coat she adorned, though she couldn't help but to be pulled into the sharp silver gaze as he continued to approach her. His steps were cautious as if he realized if he made any sudden movements towards her, she may just bolt into the trees away from him. Body frozen as she regarded him, the only sign of movement from the Valle was the twitch of dark tip of her tail. Amondi didn't realize she was holding her breathe until the man spoke when he was a mere length away from her, asking if she was alright. Releasing the bated breath with a soft hiss, the tawny woman finally pulled her gaze away from the man for a moment. "No," she murmured truthfully, there was no use in withholding the truth from a stranger. And she hasn't been alright for a while now. "I've lost my family, my husband and now I've been alone for months trying to look for them by myself," Amondi admitted somberly, her desperate, dandelion gaze searching those sharp, silver eyes as if perhaps he held the answers for her. RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Scully - Mar 28, 2022 The answer she gave him was quite a depressing one, and a softer wolf would have felt sympathy for the woman. Instead, Scully's barely-heated heart felt nothing and his crystalline eyes saw opportunity; someone in need of a little comfort, which he liked to think himself good at providing. "That's awful," he spoke quietly, as though he really did mean what he said. "You must be so tired, and cold. No one to take care of you..." Some wolves put out like crazy when they were sad. Was she one of them? "Let's find you shelter to start, yeah?" The weather had been at that awful fluctuation that caused the sky to sporadically spit unpleasant mixtures of snow and rain, and above their heads were dismal, greying clouds. It was a reasonable offer, no? RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Amondi - Mar 29, 2022 [dohtml] His words only temporarily soothed her broken heart, like a band aid over an open wound, it was never going to fix it, but might stop the bleeding in one small place. So, the tawny Valle let his words wash over her and give her the comfort she had been desperately craving. When he spoke of shelter, she simply nodded a sad smile touching her ebony lips then she allowed him to lead her to where ever he knew there to be shelter from the glooming weather around them. "Thank you, I —I appreciate it, really. Your company, I mean." She told him as she glanced over to his sharp silver gaze, wondering what lingered under that stoic mask. But she really shouldn't be wondering, she had a mate out there somewhere, probably searching for her still. And here she was welcoming the company of another male. "My name's Amondi," she rushed out quickly to hopefully stop herself from thinking too much. RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Scully - Mar 29, 2022 "Addison," he answered casually, choosing the alias at random. Just in case. She apparently had family out there looking for her, after all. He made a motion with his muzzle that beckoned her to follow him, though moved to walk side-by-side as they went in seek of somewhere more comfortable. Scully did indeed keep his eyes out for cover rather than lingering his gaze upon her pretty features, and it didn't take long to find something suitable. Her hero, hopefully. He pointed out the felled tree, it's pulled roots and rot-hollowed based a natural shelter, and threw her a crook smile that was hopefully charming. "Just like that! You first, miss." RE: the reynold's pamphlet - Amondi - Mar 29, 2022 [dohtml] The naive woman tucked his name away, another memory for her to live on as she continued her search for her family. Perhaps, she would cross the mountain and see what was other there. But as her dandelion gaze found the skies, the once grey clouds were now looming and dark, threatening to spill their contents onto the earth below. With Addison finding shelter just in time, giving him a bright smile in return just as the skies let loose sending cold rain down upon them. A laugh slipped past her ebony lips as she was quickly beginning to become soaked from the rain. "Don't mind if I do!" She laughed out before rushing to get inside the tree shelter Addison had found for them. Moving to make as much room for him as she could, her dandelion gaze once again looked back to find those captivating silver orbs. "You seem too good to be true, you know?" She admitted softly over the rain as it pelted the top of their shelter. Her laughter shifted his mood, and he chuckled too, genuinely amused as he followed after her. He settled in as closely as she would allow, aiming to rest his flank along hers. You know, for the body heat. For a moment, he would close his eyes and simply sit with his contentment. Her soft words caused his ears to lift, and he met her gaze once more with that ever-present smile. "Yer a delight yerself, little lady," he replied with a wink before feigning to succumb to a yawn, giving his longer, muscular frame a stretch. "Pretty cozy, don't'ya think?" Hopefully, if he was patient, she either take the lead or give him the greenlight to. He certainly didn't want to cause her to shut down or push him away by being too forward too soon. |
