Sword of Duality - Rayjiek - Apr 03, 2022 for @Inger
Reyjiek was out and about, exploring the area around the cave him an Inger had been staying in. While roaming around he caught onto a smell. One he wasn't sure what it was. He started to follow the smell, curious as to what it is. The smell took him though the trees, the grass, the fields, until he saw her. The familiar wolf he had been spending time with. Inger. He watched her curious as to what she was doing and why there was an unfamiliar smell coming from her direction. What Inger doing? Why smell? No understand. Maybe ask. Inger know. Weird girl. Inger! Hva gjør du? Hvorfor lukte? drepe noe? (Inger! What doing? Why smell? Kill something?) Reyjiek smelled the air some more, one eye fixed on Inger. He swore he had smelt this before but wasn't sure where. It hit him deep down, in a memory he couldn't recall. The years of abuse from the "hairless apes" had rendered his memory kind of useless. RE: Sword of Duality - Inger - Apr 18, 2022 It had been very clear to Inger what had come of that night, her body experiencing changes she never thought it would. A mother. She was actually going to be a mother. It thrilled and delighted her, and while she had not yet discussed the matter with Rayjiek, she expected that he would feel the same. She'd sought out the perfect place for a birthing den, and began excavation, a plan to surprise him set into motion. He found her in the midst of her work instead, spoiling the attempt. Still, she beamed at his familiar voice before turning to face him, pale coat covered in dirt and clay. "Det motsatte, dumt," she answered him as she reclined onto her haunches. (The opposite, silly.) "Hva tror du? Det er perfekt, ikke sant?" (What do you think? It's perfect, no?) RE: Sword of Duality - Rayjiek - Apr 19, 2022 Reyjiek was starting to put two and two together. Between the odd smell that he was picking up and between the den that he saw Inger digging. He eye/s lowered and he furled his brow. He started to grit his teeth before snarling at Inger. "Nei. Det kan ikke være det. Nei! Nei nei nei nei. Antas å forårsake kaos, ikke små beist. Faen. Odin eye vil sørge for at dette ikke skjer." (No. That can't be. No! No no no no. Supposed to cause chaos, not little beasts. Fuck. Odin eye will make sure this doesn't happen.) With that Reyjiek lept at Inger. He tried to get his jaws on her. He was not about to let little pups enter this world. He felt that with his chaos, if anything there should be less in the world not more. And If Inger was going to be bringing in more, then she must not be allowed to live. RE: Sword of Duality - Inger - May 20, 2022 Her eyes had cast toward her handiwork as she'd spoken, away from Rayjiek's shifting features. When her beryl sights returned, she saw the anger written so violently across his dial and was at a complete loss as to why. Her gut reaction was to whip her own delicate skull around to look over her shoulder for some kind of threat, like the ku that he'd saved her from before. She saw nothing, but heard his frantic words begin. Can't be? Little beasts? Her brows knit first with concern, then abject horror. This was not a reaction she would have ever imagined, and she was so stunned that she nearly did not move in time. His jaws closed mostly upon air, but close enough to take some stray guard hairs with them as Inger turned on her wolfish heels and began to run as quickly as her thin legs would take her. She didn't understand what had changed, but she knew violence, and she no longer had only herself to care for now. Whether her mate liked it or not. RE: Sword of Duality - Rayjiek - May 22, 2022 She was running away and Reyjiek wanted to chase. His eye gleamed with fury, and he began after her. He didn't want more little beast in the world and he needed to stop her. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him until he was on her heels. He started to snap at her feet, hoping to slow her down or stop her. Reyjiek did not want more. Not at all. Especially if they were from this.. this.. bahhhhh. He couldn't think. All he could do was chase. He knew that with little beasts, no chaos could happen. He hated the idea of having them in his life. He would rather kill than have them be around. RE: Sword of Duality - Inger - Jun 05, 2022 Inger was quick and familiar with flight and evasion, but still she was no match for the rage fueling Rayjiek. She felt him at her hocks, and poured everything she had into running faster, but the distance could not be regained. He caught her paw and she was thrown off balance, tumbling to the ground with enough force to immediately bruise. Her thoughts were a loud, chaotic blur like the walls of a hurricane. Instinct kicked in, and she rounded on her attacker, striving to sink her own teeth deeply into the man she thought she had loved. All she needed was to force him into releasing her, and then she would make another break for it. Inger was well aware of how outmatched she was when it came to brute strength. RE: Sword of Duality - Rayjiek - Jun 10, 2022 Reyjiek was successful in his attack, and was able to snag a leg. Upon grabbing Inger, she whipped around and bared her own teeth and attempted to bit Reyjiek. Reyjiek winced in pain, and released her. He swore in Norwegian under his breath and looked at her, with blood trickling from his own wound. He licked at his own wound, blood covering his mouth and said, "Skitten, skitten skjøge. Det skal Inger betale for. Skal hente Inger når minst venter det. Løp, løp, vil finne. Vil få lide som Odin Eye. Skal sørge for at ingen nye kommer med." (Filthy, filthy harlot. Inger will pay for that. Will get Inger when least expect it. Run, Run, will find. Will make suffer like Odin Eye. Will make sure no new ones brought.) Reyjiek bared his teeth in a sinister grin. He knew that eventually, it would come back to bite her. badum tss
RE: Sword of Duality - Inger - Jul 11, 2022 Her leg bled, but so did he. Inger felt his teeth retreat from her flesh and she scrambled to her paws desperately. Adrenaline kept the pain at bay, allowing her to fully use the injured extremity - for now. She righted herself and bolted once more, this time with a glimmer of hope. Rayjiek's words followed her, snaking into her ears and entwining themselves like thorny vines around her mind. He swore to come after her, to stop her from birthing their children. As she continued to run from him, heart and lungs pumping as quick as a hummingbird's wings, a pained sob fell from her mouth. So much for her happy ending. |
