Confession - Avella - Jun 04, 2022

@Scully

After a nice long tour around the territory with Cam Avella had excused herself. She needed to speak with her brother but she thought it woukd be a good chance for their newest member to get acquainted with everyone. Any other day she might have gone looking for Scully but that day it just wasn't going to happen. The masked woman wanted to get off het paws so she'd made her way to her den calling for her brother as she laid down outside the entrance.

Now with Cam there it was important that she tell Scully about him. She didn't want to get into all of the details of what had happened on her journey. Unfortunately she was afraid she might have to get into more than she wanted to. She supposed she woukd have to see where this conversation took them.

RE: Confession - Scully - Jun 09, 2022

Backdated to 5/7.

Scully had heard the stranger call, and had made sure to stay within a shout's distance without encroaching on the visitation. He not only entrusted Avella to her duties as leader but also preferred them being hers alone. He even had faith in her ability to defend herself and give as good as she got if needed - when she wasn't carrying several other lives inside of her. He'd already lost her once, and young; Scully would be damned if something happened to her ever again on his watch, the need cemented into his being.

When she did beckon him, he assumed it was to let him know what had occurred. He could guess that they had a new recruit in their ranks, but genuinely wasn't anticipating it to be a suitor, especially given the time that had now passed since March's affairs.

He approached her at ease, tail swaying at his hocks, and greeted her by pressing his forehead briefly to hers.

"What's up?"

RE: Confession - Avella - Jun 14, 2022

Avella didn't have any concerns that her brother would see her differently for what she'd done. That wasn't why she'd kept it from him. It was the fact that what happened during the breeding season wasn't something that they talked about. They kept those things to theirselves and she was fine with that.

Except now it was different. Now her choices were affecting both of them amd the pack. With Cam's arrival she needed to make her brother aware of what had transpired during her absence and explain to Scully what Cam meant to her.

She waited for Scully to answer her call akd as he pressed his forehead to hers she closed her eyes in contentment. He was the constant in her life and she'd always be grateful for him.

"I have some things to tell you and they might not be easy to hear," she started, "But I don't think it's fair to keep them from you." As much as she had wanted to keep her...excursions to herself she could no longer justify them.

"We have a new member," she added thinking it was the best place to start.

RE: Confession - Scully - Sep 14, 2022

Her prelude quickly introduced a sense of anxious anticipation. It wasn't often that conversations were delicate between them, and that she anticipated his ire likely meant he should indeed be concerned. Still, he was left grasping at emptiness, not able to conceive of what Avella might have to tell him that he would not want to listen to.

We have a new member.

"... okay?" his smile had gone, one brow raised questioningly. What, was it someone from their past? An unsavory family member maybe?

RE: Confession - Avella - Sep 15, 2022

Avella knew that bringing in new members wasn't anything out of the ordinary. She had that right as leader of the pack but Camden was different. He wasn't just some guy seeking a place to live. The two of them had history and Maybe even more than that. She just couldn't send him away without knowing.

She watched Scully as she told him what she'd done to see his reaction. He seemed to he taking things in stride so she decided to go on. "His name is Camden. I met him during my last journey and he might be the father to my pups," she listed but she wasn't done. It was best to just get it all out and then wait to see what happened. "And we might have feelings for each other.

RE: Confession - Scully - Sep 29, 2022

There was quite a bit that her words revealed, as well as many assumptions they invited. Scully's tail gave a flick, not at the notion of them having slept together, but the whole feelings bit. If they had these feelings, why was it just now coming up? Why hadn't she told him anything about a suitor, why hadn't he shown up sooner? It wasn't like he hadn't known he'd shot his load in her.

His jaw set, and his brows remained raised. He was clearly mitigating and tempering his words before speaking them, Avella being the only wolf he did so for when so thoroughly bothered. Maybe they'd been in touch, and she'd been keeping it from him. What of Hagar then, hadn't that been why he'd distanced himself from Scully once Spring came? Or were they all... ? His mind was already spinning with speculation, but he took a breath and mustered patience.

Just for her.

"Got 'feelings,' does he?" he tried to keep his tone even and light, a crooked smile still on his lip despite the strain evident behind it.

"Where's he been, then?"

RE: Confession - Avella - Oct 01, 2022

This conversation with Scully shouldn't be so hard but it was. These sorts of things weren't something she discussed with her brother. Whatever escapades they might have during the spring weren't shared with each other. However, now hers have been brought to her door and she had to explain that to her brother. Avella sighed and sat back on her haunches as her brothers question rang in the air between them.

"He says that he does and We want to explore things further." That was what she and Cam had talked about and Avella was eilling to see where things went between them. She really liked Cam and didn't want to send him away.

"I don't know where he's been. We only spent one night together and then he walked me home. There wasn't any commitments made and I never expected him to return."

RE: Confession - Scully - Oct 15, 2022

Nothing that his sister had to add so far was helping Scully's building image of this wolf and his true motivations. Meeting Camden wouldn't help either, he would swiftly learn. There were too many ways in which they were alike, making the typical nature of his relationships far too obvious to the protective sibling. It took a player to know a player, one could say. It wouldn't matter how many times the stranger swore up and down that this was different, Scully would not see what he wasn't willing to.

"... that's months, El."

Carefully picking his words was not a habit he had practiced much. He didn't want to hurt or upset his sister, but it was hard to not be blunt with his concerns. It was clear he was trying to find balance as he continued.

"You know guys say anything to get with a girl in heat, right? Then he's gone even though he knows he likely knocked you up, that's not feelings."

RE: Confession - Avella - Nov 01, 2022

Avella was growing worried that Scully wouldn't be very accepting of Cam. She knew she she should have expected it but that hadn't changed the hope that she'd had. She'd hoped that maybe Scully would soften some but she knew he was much too protective for that. Cam would have his work cut out for him if he planned to get on her brothers good side.

She gave a confused look at het brother. "Yes but shouldn't that mean something? He didn't have to come here." Cam didn't have any reason to be at the Ridge other than her. If he didn't care why would he show up at the border.

"I do know that about guys Scully. Why would he come to the border if he knew that. Why would he show up here at all if it wasn't feelings?"

RE: Confession - Scully - Dec 04, 2022

Shouldn't that mean something? she asked him, and he briefly gained his own look of confusion. He didn't have to come here.

Scully frowned. He didn't like having to be the one to say all this to her, at all. It was one of the few times that it wasn't to their advantage to be each other's best friend, as he wished there was someone else to voice out against the missteps her heart might take.

"I don't know, maybe the drought?" his shoulders twitched upward briefly in a shrug, his discomfort growing more and more clear. Scully felt bad, and that wasn't an emotion he was used to feeling.

"Probably figures since we're still here we've got means to ride out the complete lack of water, if he just heads off in a random direction he might walk into a practical desert. There's a lot he can benefit from here and telling you he's all wrapped around your paw's just an easy in..."
