Is this really who you are, Malien? It's so unlike you - yet here you are, soft-eyed, wandering away from that enchanting place and into the wild wood, in the company of someone who surely deserves more and better than you.
And you are excited, a slow burn as you help her search among thickets and fallen trees, until you find a nice, sheltered nook. It's a couple of spruce trees, a larger stone slab, and a few bushes clinging to their yellowing foliage - cozy, sheltered from the cruel wind, perfect for drying off, heating up.
You watch her with mild bewilderment as you settle down to sleep.
