Finally, she seemed to get the hint. Asmund might not have appeared it, but he relaxed some measure as silence filled the air and she began to partake of the scavenged food. He settled onto his stomach and continued to chew his own meal, and when Llinnea finished the portion she had he would quietly retrieve some more for her.
It was just easier this way. He hoped maybe she'd come to understand soon.
