The Valle was much bigger now, nearly a year and he was now faced with his first winter. So much had changed in the pack. His mother was gone and he didn't know if she'd ever return. He didn't understand how she could just up amd leave like that.
Whatever, he would just get on with his life and part of that was becoming self sufficient. Who knew when he would need the skills to survive on his own. After all if his mother could unexpectedly decide to leave what else could happen? He needed to be prepared.
Nix had exited the backwater early in the morning headed toward the mountain. He hadn't really had a plan besides exploring and learning the area around the pack lands. He felt it was an important thing to know considering he was bigger now. Thst meant that soon he'd be expected to help the pack in whatever way was needed.
He soon found himself in what he knew to be Sacred Grove. He hadn't spent much time there before so he thought now was a good time to do some exploring.
