in the end it's better for me - Hagar - Feb 16, 2023

Random Event: Take cover! A snow squall has kicked up intense winds and blinding snow.
For @Daegal only.

Hagar was beginning to feel like himself again, and had returned to his previous vigor when it came to hunting. Occasionally he would experience pain or other discomfort, but the wolf worked determinedly through it each time. The sun began to set and as was typical for him, he rose from a light sleep and set out to take from a herd that had been sheltering nearby. On his way out he had spotted Daegal in the waning afternoon light and invited him along.

It felt like just yesterday they had been newborns, and now they would soon enter into their second year of life. Were their group still thriving, they might have been afford a few months more without needing to learn how to take on larger prey. As things were, that time had come. He would need to dedicate time to all three children and teach them how to hunt as a pack.

For now, he and Daeg would focus on an elderly doe that would be relatively easy for the duo alone. They had tracked its herd to the edge of the forest, the group heading for the fields to feed before night took hold. Green eyes passed over them, and lifted to the darkening sky. The clouds were getting difficult to discern, but they didn't look kind.

"Daegal, look," he asked of his son in a low voice.
