baby i just need one good one to stay - Hagar - May 12, 2023

Backdated to April 1st. Sorry this is so late. ;-; Thought I made it & was waiting on answers for some reason. Birds & bees thread, for @Avella, @Nineve, @Daegal and @Iseldir only.

It was clear by now that his and Niamh's coupling had indeed taken, giving Hagar his signal to address the children now that the near future was a little less hazy. Nothing was certain, but it was likely; they were to experience the joys of being big siblings in just a few scant months. He found Avella first, ensuring that she was ready as well, and then they rounded up their trio together, Hagar beckoning with a loud, carrying howl.

He expected this to go well, but sensing his co-parents unease with his new situation had allowed in a tiny sliver of doubt. What if they were upset too? Worse than that, what if they chose not to talk to him about it either? Almost to reassure himself, he shook out his dark coat (fur flying as the warm weather encouraged shedding of winter's excess fluff), and looked to Avella with a broad smile. He hoped to see the expression returned, but regardless would move on to begin.

"Children, your mother and I have a very special lesson for you today. It won't be paws-on, but it's just as vital to know as protecting or hunting."

A call sounded, deep and commanding. It was for the children of the Willows. Nineve, having taken a spot along the creek to lay and relax, roused herself from her placement, shook out her coat and began trotting off into the direction. Even with the arrival of a few new females to the ranks and Clouse coming and going here and there, nothing particularly fascinating or exciting had been happening. Nineve spent most of her days either alone or at her brother's sides.

Now, she came to the side of her father, arriving from behind the pair. She made to wedge herself in between the both of them, offering a swift kick to each of their chins before continuing on by, turning and plopping down into a sit before them. Passing a side glance to her brothers as they came, she then turned to Hagar, an "Okay." given as he began to explain of a lesson for the day. Maybe something exciting would be happening around here after all!

It was clear to the masked Archer that the Willows would indeed have pups this season. They weren't her own leaving her with mixed feelings on the matter. When Hagar came to find her she knew the reason. Time was running out to tell the children about what was coming. Avella had done her best to not let her emotions about what was going on in Hagar's life to seep into her interactions with their children. The last thing she wanted to do was to taint their view of their father.

She stood beside the chocolate man asbhe seat out a call for the children to join them. She was a little nervous herself about how this would go. What would the pups think about all of this. She would soon find out. While the waited Hagar offered her a smile that she returned though not as broad as his.

As soon as all of the children had gathered Hagar began to speak. This left Avella relieved since she didn't really know how to start this sort of conversation or what exactly Hagar wanted to tell the children

RE: baby i just need one good one to stay - Daegal - Jun 14, 2023

Daegal was not called often; usually he sought out his family or was sought out by them, so when his dad's voice split the air with a summons it immediately caught his attention. His ears pricked and he looked for a moment at the old antler he'd been voraciously gnawing on, considering taking it with him, and then decided he didn't want to have to share. Daegal quickly stashed it in his Super Secret Hiding Spot and headed towards the source of the call.

Eve was already there with his parents and Dae dropped at her side, leaning briefly against his sister as an affectionate greeting before fully turning his attention to his dad.
