Hey brother, do you still believe in one another? - Nash - Nov 14, 2023 RE: Hundreds of crows litter the skies. Could it be a bad omen?
Nash and @Matos have arrived at the borders! Didn't want to backdate as far as the original plan, so backdated to the evening of 11/1. Calling for @Chan and @Jethro and @Flair specifically, but AW to members of PF! [dohtml] They had taken their time on their journey, especially coming down the mountain. The smoke had mostly cleared, but their lungs were still recovering and Nash didn't want to put too much strain on his son - especially since this would be the longest journey the boy had ever undertaken. It would be the longest Nash himself had taken in quite some time. The cold mornings didn't help; Nash was waking with an ache in his hip and a stiffness that took at least a mile to work out. He tried to hide the limp, but wouldn't be surprised if Matos noticed it anyway. Even so, it meant they started each day out slow, but they finally made it to the borders. He recognized the scent from Flair's last visit, and he could detect his own brother's undercurrent mingling with the pack. His stomach twisted with a touch of anxiety; he didn't know how Chan would feel seeing him, given their parting, but he was still excited to see his elder sibling regardless. He looked at Matos. "Ready?" he asked, before tilting his head back and calling for the leaders of Paradise Falls - and his brother. RE: Hey brother, do you still believe in one another? - Chan - Dec 06, 2023 Chan couldn't remember being called for by a visitor since Marigold's arrival. His brother's voice was easy to recognize, and it was second-nature to get onto his paws and head toward the sound without hesitation. His thoughts caught up quickly, even considering rounding up the twins to bring them directly to their uncle, but he never stopped or changed course. He'd see Nash for himself first, make sure this was even a reunion he wanted his kids to be a part of. The younger Eastfall hadn't sounded panicked or grief-stricken, but... Chan knew better than to place any bets. He could smell that Matos was with him before he could see either of them though, and that made him smile, a little more assured that this was a good visit. Then he remembered the meddling he had done with the Backwater, and guilt at being deceitful had him anticipating a bad turn again. Chan took a breath, and pushed through the last bit of brush between himself and his family. "Hey," he greeted with a toothy smile, tail wagging low. His mismatched gaze was on Matos first, and then the boy's father. "Long time no see. Man you're big, kiddo. How are you guys?" RE: Hey brother, do you still believe in one another? - Jethro - Jan 08, 2024 Calls at the borders had been growing a tad more frequent as of late, perhaps a product of the arrival of these colder seasons. As such, it wasn’t such a great surprise to hear another call. The surprise though, was from who. Familiar - someone Jet had spent a lot of time around but who he’d never become all that familiar with. Jethro tried not to let himself feel concerned - just because someone was visiting didn’t mean there was going to be bad news. Besides, the call hadn’t sounded distressed. But.. who knew. The sounds of conversation reached his ears as the dark one approached. Chan was already there with Nash, and alongside the cove leader was.. presumably one of his children. A sibling to Magg, perhaps? ”Gentlemen,” Jet greeted warmly, glancing over all of them, but specifically settling on the two visitors. ”Good to see ya both. Welcome.” It’d been a while. |
