RE: Off with a spring in my step - Ozark - Dec 14, 2023 Their journey had been everything she had hoped for and more. The vast, open sea gave way to rolling green hills of moorland and beyond, forests ripe with still an autumn glow. Red, orange, yellow and brown trees, whose leaves spun and fluttered in the wind like butterflies as winter began to shed them bare.
Ozark was not sure how long she and her sister had been traveling, for each moment was filled with excitement and wonder through the eyes of youths on their first journey from home. "Aye! Ima comin'!" She barked back, her voice gruff as always. Padding up closer to her sister, Ozark nudged her shoulder into her sister's own as they trotted along. "Sure hope nah around here. Dis land has got a chill!" She spoke as she did a full bodied quiver. Of course, they decided of all times to break from home just before winter. RE: Off with a spring in my step - Ozark - Dec 22, 2023 "Pah!" She spat out allowed, "Not'a chance!" And yes, did mother earth test, as the winds picked up and swept harshly over the open, barren land, or so, seemed barren. It was a harsh place, lacking in any true beauty from which Ozark could tell, but surely something must live around here.
Ears and head ducking down, she sniffed at the cold wind as it swept over them, bringing the scent of anything within the range of their expect senses. Ozark didn't smell wolves, not any, but she did pick up a distant smell of fox and deer along with pine. "Mom said thar ain't sea around here. Reckon ye'll miss it?" RE: Off with a spring in my step - Ozark - Feb 12, 2024 "Aye, de mountains sound like a sight. I wanna stand on top 'n see de world from above." She said with a grin, coming to slide up close to her sister's side as another gust of wind swept over the land. "Surely so! If de Valle's here are true, dey wouldnt live where much water flows." At least she hoped not. Although there was a difference in taste between salt fish and regular fish, she supposed she could make due. "But I'm interested in de new food! Mountain goat, caribou, moose!" Creatures she had never even yet seen!
