He left. The wolf she loved most had left. She'd thought she was his perfect cherished daughter. Loved beyond measure and worth everything the pack had to offer. She thought of herself as high on a pedestal. Flawless. If that were true, why hadn't he taken her with him?

Euna sat upon the hill,  propping herself against the tree. Her shoulders slumped down as she peered out from the vantage point. Her face would've been devoid of all emotion if not for the defeat in her eyes. The clouds cast shifting shadows across the fields. "Because rain has to adventure too."
