She felt quite ill, and having just wretched up the contents of her breakfast, she supposed she could consider herself ill… ill with child, a fact of the matter which simply freaked her out. To know that within the coming month, she was to have a child, or heaven forbid multiple, to look after… to manage and teach. She recalled how her father had struggled before Nastasia came along… hell, even after there was still quite a struggle. At least Vili seemed to be around, at least for the moment. If he remained, perhaps it would not quite be as bad.

But perhaps it would be worse… perhaps he’d impose upon what she wanted for the child… or perhaps he’d be the perfect father. In all honesty, conjecture made her feel all the more ill with some sense of existential dread that could not possibly be healthy for her or the unborn spawn that lingered inside of her. It was still so entirely weird for her to think about.

She removed herself from the shrubbery she had been tucked away in to hurl, leaving the stench of it behind her as well as she carefully moved further down the mountainside. The rabbit she’d eaten quickly gone though she was certain she’d be forced to eat again before the day was done.

The tawny woman shifted over to a stream that lingered nearby, lapping up some water to rid the awful taste from her mouth before sitting along the edge and ducking her paws into it, her eyes closing as she embraced the feeling of the cold against her paws. It was a nice contrast to how the weather had started to warm around her.

Through the clouds peaked the sun, warm against the darkest of her furs and a comfort against the colder parts. The wind still nipped hard among the mountain slopes so she welcomed this warmth with open arms. It seemed the space between spring and summer wanted to welcome her kindly.

Truth be told, she thought she deserved it.

Short lived as a vile stench filled the air like a sickness had overcome her. Only it had nothing to do with her. It was another who she only just barely spotted. She had half a mind to leave but what if something was wrong that she could fix? Always the kind to spread her influence where she could.

Are you well? She called out hesitantly as she neared the waters. They both knew the answer to that but she wished to hear what the over might share first. Sickness was not the only peculiar scent though...

She had hoped to escape the wretched scent before it could be attributed to her, but it appeared as though she would not find herself that fortunate, the voice of another interrupting her thoughts of a clean getaway as she asked whether or not she was well. She let out a soft sigh, looking to her and observing the girl. Around her age, a greyscale of fur shielding all but piercing yellow eyes… it was not someone she knew, of that she was confident of. A part of her wondered if perhaps the woman were associated with Vili… after all, she did not know him well.

Still, she doubted it by the notable lack of stench on his pelt… it did cause her to wonder if there were others Vili had been with, and if perhaps her children might have half-siblings… and yet she doubted that too with how he had stalked after her and kept an eye on her since that night. He seemed the… faithful type… and yet she could not confirm because she knew seldom anything about him… perhaps she ought to rectify that, though she was not certain as to how.

She would nod in response to the girl’s question, turning her head to motion towards her belly in the hopes that might give the other woman some indication as to why she had just barfed all over an otherwise objectively attractive bush… it had certainly not been one of her finer moments.

She drew her maws from the water, brushing one over her maw in the hopes it might make her a little more presentable… not to say she was not already, or that she cared what others thought of her.

It just felt like the most polite thing to do.
