human emotion you can't rush it - Isla - Jul 24, 2024 [dohtml] She had made sure to stir awake earlier than darkness, the boys tucked safely with one another still, settled into her nocturnal rhythm. She figured they would be fine here for moments. They had one another. Her heart hammered with an unexpected pulse of emotion at the sight of it. Had her father looked upon her and her siblings this way? She might have stole another moment or two if she did not feel the pull to a matter that would benefit them as well. She sought the flamed colors of Flair in the dusk lights. She held a hope that the woman had not yet retired for the night. This was hardly the kind of thing she wanted to rouse someone from a comfortable sleep for. Regardless Isla had not come with a ruckus about her. In truth she seemed hushed, silent and each step placed carefully. Perhaps the emotion she had left her own space with had carried her on a more sensitive air. After all, anything she did now might impact her children as much as herself. Positive or negative. RE: human emotion you can't rush it - Spirit of Wildwood - Aug 03, 2024 Rank Challenge DefaultedGiven there has not been a reply in over 7 days, this challenge is defaulted to @Isla's win and @Flair's loss, and ranks will be changed accordingly. You are both more than welcome to continue this thread, with the necessity that it ultimately aligns with these results. RE: human emotion you can't rush it - Flair - Aug 04, 2024 As we already discussed, Flair would be losing in any case
[dohtml] Flair had become mostly nocturnal as well, continuing to withdraw from everyone outside of her family; She would be ashamed to admit it aloud, but her attachment to the pack she had helped build was fading. Perhaps it was the continued pressure of age, the knowledge that her time was coming, and she had already accomplished all that she sought in this place; What’s left? She was just waking up herself, slowly waddling out into the settling dusk, heading for the pool at the base of the waterfall to have a morning drink. The shadow moving silently towards the same spot didn’t draw any special attention from the old woman, hardly surprised that other pack mates might be wanting a drink of their own. Thus, she remained quiet, focused on her own, careful steps as she continued forwards, lowering her muzzle to lap gently at the water. Don't try to sleep through the end of the world
