Blood Runs Thicker Than Water
Coming up quickly towards being 5 months old the nomadic child had gained a sweet little amount of freedom. Not much, but enough that she could occasionally go on a walk without an adult as long as it didn’t take too long. The twin had taken this to heart and was probably pushing the boundaries at this point, but technically she was still within the forest that they were setting up their new home in.
Doing so much travel at such a young age had shifted something within her brain, her paws now itched for constant movement and she had grown bored of their new settlement. If anyone had asked if she wanted to stay here she would have told them absolutely not. Not that there was anything wrong with where they had chosen, she just wanted to keep wandering and looking. Maybe forever.
The sun was peeking over the horizon, painting the forest a peaceful combination of pink, orange, and gold. Neva climbed excitedly over the roots of the largest stump she had ever seen. This would make a great tree fort for herself and @Aven! She would have to get her sister and bring her back here - if she was not already somewhere nearby.

RE: without her even being here - Nori - Sep 17, 2024
Nori would not, under normal circumstances, go out of her way to interact with Magg or the twins. There were multiple reasons for it - she didn't want to step on any toes, for one, and there was this irrational worry that she might somehow mess up in the same way she'd messed up with Eclypse. But when she caught wind of one of the girl's scents while she was scouting the area, it seemed she had no choice in the matter. They were older now, sure, and they probably didn't want to speak with her, but it was the lesser of two evils, wasn't it? When you considered the fact they might get hurt?
It was nearing sundown when Nori saw the girl, clambering over massive roots and looking pleased with herself. Whether this was Aven or Neva, she didn't know - she hadn't been around them enough to tell.
"Cool place," she complimented, tail swishing slowly behind her as she approached. "Did you just find it?"

Neva was very pleased with her discovery, the roots alone made for a great playground where she and her sister could do an obstacle course, but the stump made it even more delightful. A perfect hideout for them when they needed to get away from all of the adults and have something for just them. Unfortunately, she did not get much time to enjoy it in solitude when she heard the sound of pawsteps behind her.
Leathery nose twitched a few times to identify the wolf joining her and before Nori even spoke she knew who it was. Green eyes rolled dramatically as she stuck her tongue out in a fake silent gag as soon as the scout started talking. For a moment she debated saying nothing at all and acting like she didn’t hear anything, but then thought better of it. Instead she turned slowly, plastering a sweet smile across her muzzle, ”I’m sorry. But I’m not allowed to talk to you.” She didn’t understand why her mother hated the ginger wolf so much, but she knew better than to make friends with someone Magg didn’t like.
If she knew anything about the Eclypse situation she definitely would have thrown that in Nori’s face, but instead she just added, ”I think mother would rather I talk to strangers.” And that was probably hardly much of an exaggeration.
