She had gone farther than she had intended to go, but did not really have any regrets about being gone either. Kalysta and Atlas had been been missing in the past and she had seen how much attention that had gotten them and couldn't help the green eyed monster that grew in her belly. That combined with the recent passing of her mother left Hera with emotions that she was too young to know how to navigate so she had acted out in a way she thought might garner her some extra attention from her father and the rest of the pack. It was her turn to make them worry before returning in time for everyone to be relieved that she reappeared.
But, she had not enjoyed it as much as she thought and mostly had wound up hungry and a little bit cold, and then finding her way home had been more difficult than she had predicted. When she finally found the borders she could feel a lump in her throat grow in relief, though she was too proud to let the tears begin to well in her eyes. Voice cracked as she howled, just happy to be home.
