[SoW Drop] weaken the flesh - Spirit of Wildwood - Oct 28, 2024
This is a Random Event! It is 'all welcome' to anyone, but will be archived after October 31st if not posted to.
Something unnatural had found its way to the scant forests of the Shroud. It groaned and hollered, deep bellowing sounds lamenting its condition with a dissonant lethargy as it wandered ever deeper. It's wounds were many, and they gaped as the skin and muscle surrounding them sagged and smelled of rot. The eyes of the beast were pale and clouded, as though they had not been shut for days. It cared not that it shambling took it closer and closer to wolves. By all appearances, it as was though the grizzly had risen from the dead. It walked without purpose, but perhaps that wasn't true. Maybe there was intention, a destination... a whim of vengeance, sent from distant mountain peaks. RE: [SoW Drop] weaken the flesh - Magg - Nov 01, 2024 Magg had tried to avoid it, but ended up backed against rapids. It didn't seem to notice her as she hunkered down among dead-and-dried reeds, watching it lumber about with hateful eyes. What the fuck was wrong with it? What was wrong with this place? Her muscles had been tightly coiled, ready to launch into flight or fight at a moments notice, but the ursine beast was steadily passing her by. Ever so slightly, her body relaxed. Still, she would need to move quick soon, to make sure her girls did not end up in its path. It was a guarantee that no one else would. Her gaze fell to its paws, the fur all up and down its legs matted with filth, and a specific memory surfaced. Throwing herself at paws like that, being caught beneath them, the impact. Her father's back as he left her behind. The fur along her spine bristled with anger now. The wretched creature had faded out of sight in one direction, and she took off like a shot in the other. She wasn't waiting for Aven and @Neva, or even herself, to be victimized again. Not by rogue wildlife, nor their own family. |
